The Easy TAZ Mini is the name for our next model of 3D printers. The TAZ series will continue (think “prosumer”) and the Easy TAZ Mini (“consumer”) will sell along side it.

This thread will be for the software. The present plan is to use embedded Debian on an Olimex A20 board connected to the RAMBo. The interface will be a 7" touchscreen LCD. The main print daemon will be Octoprint. The main interface will be web driven. The regular octoprint interface will be the “advanced” interface. We’ll make something really simple for people that just want to press a few buttons. Slicing will occur on board (dual 1GHz ARM–Alessandro is working on optimizing slic3r for this).
