Re: TAZ Slic3r profiles

We provide the Slic3r profiles as a starting point for our customers. Please keep in mind that most of our users will tweak each slicing profile to suit their particular model, as there are always ways to improve your print, model by model, slice by slice. The infill density is a variable that can ...

Re: TAZ Slic3r profiles

Here's a couple of profiles that work decent for a .50 nozzle. http://home.gci.net/~gghouck/Medium_ABS_no-support_pt50nzl_pt31layer.ini http://home.gci.net/~gghouck/Medium_ABS_no-support_pt50nzl_pt22layer.ini Appreciate the link but my problem with this is that Lulzbot is giving its customers a bad...

Re: ABS Slurry on Hairspray coated glass bed

I hopped over to PEI but I still think that the Slurry + Hairspray worked quite well. Even with a large amount of slurry my parts would come off because the hairspray would come off and is the limited adhesion layer.

Re: Slic3r

No I think I was wrong. I was able to import into 1.2.1. I will say that 1.2.1 is able to slicer many of my parts more quickly than 1.7.1. I have found a issue with the medium profile for Slic3r though.

Re: TAZ Slic3r profiles

Anyone? Also if you load the medium profile the fill jumps to 50% for Slic3r. Is this an error? Should it be 20%?

Fast = 15%
Medium = 50%
Fine = 30%

Re: TAZ Slic3r profiles

I take it back. It seems the profile imported. The temps though seem to be set at 220C and 80C for the ABS profile when I export the code.

Re: Custom Vacuum Chuck

As long as you could make something with a similar mass as the glass plate there should be no difference. You could CNC some ribs into it. I would think this plate doesn't need very deep grooves to make a strong fit. We don't need the level of adhesion that CNC mills need. I'd use a some light lubri...

Re: TAZ Slic3r profiles

These profiles don't seem to import in Slic3r 1.2 branch. Can they be updated to work? I have trouble with some of my models in 1.1.7 while 1.2.1 seems to be able to handle them. Thanks.
