Re: Out of box print quality help

So here is what support told me to do to adjust the z-offset in firmware: In the machine control window, input: M851: This will report Z offset on firmware. M851 ZXXX: This will change the reported Z offset to XXX M500: Saves the change to EEPROM. Thanks for helping out everyone but I'm returning th...

Re: Out of box print quality help

Load up the HIPS fine profile instead of the medium and lets see the results. I've been very happy with my HIPS printing, but I only print using Fine mode or better. -Jim I actually ended up contacting Lulzbot support to ask them how in the heck to adjust the z-offset in Cura and believe I've fixed...

Re: Add my two cents on Simplify3D and a thumbs up for v3.0

Hi ptchan5, I've been running Simplify3D for about 6 months now on a different USA-made printer that I own and I LOVE it. I rarely use supports with it, but when I do I've not had any issues with them. The amount of tweakable options and live preview details are great to have. Question for you with ...

Hi Anonymous - where exactly is this "z-offset" in Cura? I'm looking at machine settings and there is nothing called z-offset..... thanks!!

Re: Out of box print quality help

Based on my measurements of eSun HIPS, I routinely use 2.85mm & 90%. The stringing could be due to too high extruding temperature or insufficient retraction. Hi Chazz - are you using HIPS? I'm beginning to get the feeling that some of my issues are HIPS related (vs. using PLA). I've been test print...

Re: Trouble with part sizes *SOLVED*

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I'm using Cura. Under Machine>Machine Settings... about half way down on the left. Hi SSVT - just so that we are all clear here... You changed the z-height by going into Cura > Machine > Machine Settings > Maximum Height (mm) ? And put in what for the value? 16...

Re: Out of box print quality help

Here is the new print with a diameter of 3.00mm & flow of 90%. Better, but not up to what it should be yet.

Re: Kittaz Build Issues

I'm glad there was an official response to this thread! I'm looking to buy my 2nd 3D printer and I'm seriously looking at the KITTAZ, but after reading this build report I'm having 2nd thoughts. I hope changes can be made to the kit by Jan/Feb as this is when I'll be purchasing.
