Re: NylonX is the best, who else prints it on a mini?

I am actually using a 0.4mm nozzle and it is working great.... 26hour print no jams. But I do have the nozzle in Cura called out as a 0.35mm This is what I am using as a profile in cura2, based off the nylon 910 material version = 2 name = Nylonx detail definition = lulzbot_mini_aerostruder [metadat...

NylonX is the best, who else prints it on a mini?

this is my new favorite filament. Sure you need hardened extruder parts (aerostruder with hardened gears, break, nozzle), and you have to crank up the heat to 270 (lower makes the parts weak and brittle), and you need to dry it and keep it dry, but it prints so well, and makes great looking and VERY...

Re: Aerostruder chewing up PLA... Anyone else?

one thing to do is adjust the tension after 10 to 20 layers have printed. it seems that heat creeps up the filament some during the print and softens it where the tensioner is pushing, so the tension setting you set when the filament was cold may not be enough when it warms up. Ideally the spring is...

Re: Cura settings for HTPLA Carbon

HTPLA Carbon is some AWESOME stuff. SUPER stiff and strong.....who cares if it wears out nozzles, they are replaceable. I have played with HTPLA carbon and FINALLY got it successfully working on the mini. I did end up going to the aerostruder and a 0.6mm nozzle. (aerostruder may not be 100% needed, ...

What were the substantial upgrades from foxglove to gladiola?

I have a foxglove, and it has been great. But if the gladiola is a step up....

Re: Dual Extruder v3 nozzle type

I suspect the nozzles are just E3D nozzles.

but I am more worried about how you align them after you change them. The OHAI shows a special aluminum fixture that is used to align them at the factory. But what do you do in the field?

Re: Consistent Jams with PLA on Taz6 Heat Creep Issues

Well my T-glase issue was not heat creep. turns out T-glase does not like an enclosed chamber. After leaving the front door on my chamber open, T-glase has no problems. But I did end up ordering some higher flow 5V fans, and may still put one on. If anyone is interested in upgrading the hot end fan ...

Re: Filaments you want to see/Problems with current filaments

A MIM type metal filament has still not been done yet. though there are some working on it. This is not the same as metal filled filaments. these prints would be designed to go into a de-binder furnace and then a sintering furnace to make 99% metal parts. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1093108...

Re: Volcano/E3D on a mini?

I like the extra support at the top of the extruder. Might have to print that out for the current tool head. Looks like this would work with the standard hexagon hotend. Or is it sitting higher on the Opah. (PS, How do you guys come up with your code names) https://code.alephobjects.com/file/data/zp...
