Re: 1st layer problems - enable retraction?

Thanks for the suggestions. It's interesting because I setup the bed height/level the same as with the hexagon hotend and original bed as far as distance. For the most part, I've been getting good prints and bed adhesion but this print is giving the new setup a hard time. I hope it's just the bed he...

1st layer problems - enable retraction?

Hi All, I'm having trouble with a somewhat large print. it's an optical bench breadboard that has a bunch of holes in it. I get great adhesion for the perimeter but when it starts to print the hole perimeters, they don't stick. It looks like what's happening is that when it moves between holes, sinc...

Re: Leveling TAZ 5 with Cura LE 2.6.69

Seems strange but ok. I don't think moving the x-axis or y-axis is a good idea with the z at home position is a good idea in case the bed is off-level. My workaround was to move the z up 10 mm and then back down 10mm manually at each of the corners. I guess what I don't understand is, why is there a...

Leveling TAZ 5 with Cura LE 2.6.69

Hi Everyone, I have a TAZ 5 and have been running Cura 21.08 with great success since it's release. I recently purchased the Aerostruder and modular print surface so I thought it would be a good time to update to Cura 2.6.69 After installing the Aerostruder and print bed/surface, I started the bed-l...

Re: Best Filament for Outdoor Use

Has anyone tried Inova - 1800? I am thinking of building a weather station and need a radiation shield. I think I'll print this one. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1067700 Right now I have Inova 1800, PLA, and nGen in white. I also have some Alloy 910 in translucent/clear that can be painted. The ...

Re: inova 1800, CHROMA STRAND

I tried again and reduced the print speed to 40 mm/s with no discernible difference in print quality.

Re: inova 1800, CHROMA STRAND

I'm using CURA 20 and the included profile for Inova 1800 on "standard" resolution.

Print speed: 50 mm/s
Print Temp: 245
Bed Temp: 75

Re: inova 1800, CHROMA STRAND

I tried a small, simple print using Inova - 1800 today and it looks horrible. I am trying to print the USB support brace that can be found here. https://www.lulzbot.com/learn/forum-posts/lulzbot-mini-3d-printed-usb-support-brace However, when I printed it, it looks like this: IMG_2226.JPG I used the...

Re: nGen filament profile for 0.35 hexagon

The default profile definitely works consistently, it's just painfully slow. I do have a slightly modified profile that I created and it seems to work just as well. It doesn't cut down completely on print times but it helps. I'll attach the profile to this post.
