Re: Blown Einsy Retro on my Mini 2. Is there a better board to replace it with?

Actually the brush put the 24 volts supplied to the heater cartridge into a 5 volt input on the MPU located on the control board. Which made the input transistor go BOOM!!!!

Re: Achieving the thinnest successful first layer

I am lucky to get a PEI film/sheet that is or has a thickness tolerance of better than .1MM across it usually. I have had several that were pretty 'wavy' at times.

Re: Filament goes wild on reel with long prints - Mini 2

The unrolling tends to be due to re-spooling from a larger take-up spool on to the smaller retail spools. It 'remembers' the bend it has/had on the bigger spool while it was still warm. But once the filament cools and is re-spooled onto the smaller rolls it will try to return to the larger bend. (Ak...

Re: Increase Max Wipe Temp in Cura (above 200 °C)

Is there any way to get Cura to let me increase the maximum wipe temperature above 200 °C? I've been printing with Taulman 910 nylon on my Taz 6 using the Aerostruder head, and I've been having to manually wipe the nozzle at 255 °C in order to get the auto-level probe sequence to succeed. Re: Clogged bore on TAZ6

That sounds more like your cold end fan is not cooling enough. The Stainless Steel heat break is pretty hard. and is not a good conductor of heat(reason it is used). So the filament should stay cool enough until it is over half way through the heat break before it gets hot. Side note: Make very sure...

Re: Clogged bore on TAZ6

I use a 3MM drill bit in a hand drill myself, but I have practiced a lot.

And only in the S.S. heat break. Allow the cold end to heat up slightly so the filament is softer.

Re: FlexyStruder gear not moving

The control board is not supplying enough torque(current) for the flexible extruder motor.

Re: Can the Taz6 move the 3kg spool from Polymaker?

If the large spool starts to turn, some times it does not want to stop. If you saw the spools in the AO printer farm they had sleeves on the arm to provide additional friction. So a bearing holder might unroll more than you would like. I have used 3KG rolls on my Taz 6 several times with the sleeve ...

Sounds more like that limit switch is shutting the supply down.

I would check and see if you are not rubbing one of the belt ends on the teeth of the belt.
