Re: Taz 5 PEI sheet replacement?

After thinking it over, I needed to get the Taz back running so I could get my printing done for Halloween. I couldn't risk things going poorly with the freezer thing. I bought the drop in bed and got to printing. I will put the old bed in the freezer and see if it really comes of well. If not, no c...

Taz 5 PEI sheet replacement?

Ok, I have come to the breaking point, well the PEI has at least. It has bubbled to the point that its virtually unusable in major portions of the bed. It started several months after I got the Taz and has slowly progressed. And this week, one of the bubbles tore when removing a part from the bed re...

Re: 30/40mm Heat Sink Fan for Taz + Hexagon

For virtually all the answers, follow the instructions here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:766633/#instructions Wolfie Nice job on the fan setup. I just finished printing the parts and I just ordered the fan you listed above. I am a little concerned about the problems you and vitormhenrique have ...

Re: Hexagon Hot End STL?

Wolfie Thanks for the quick response. I purchase the hexagon hot end upgrade package from Lulzbot about 2 months ago, so I got the hexagon hot end, motor and wiring, but I have heard so many problems with heat creep because of the fan I decided to go with your new fan setup before I even install th...

Re: Hexagon Hot End STL?

Wolfie are you still using this Hexagon fan shroud setup that you created and are you happy with it when printing in PLA. In you pictures it looks like you print the part that puts tension on the filament, pressing it against the hobble bolt. Is there a reason that this needs to be printed. I have ...

Re: Fan queston for you gurus

Wolfie Can you share what the hexagon mounting plate looks like for a double side cooling fan. Are you using a standard Hexagon hot end or the one that ships with the TAZ 5. Full load of images from the project are in this album: http://www.ipernity.com/doc/wolfie/album/773974 Here is one of the im...

Re: A Strategy for Obtaining Great Prints

Great instructions on the cat litter... and nice find on the screw on lids. I've been meaning to convert to cat litter from for my stash of filament which is already in the paint buckets. But I'm using the cheap press on lids... might need to look for the screw on type. Found this from Taulman's si...

Re: Fan queston for you gurus

I already have the mounting plate from my prior hexagon project that has a left side mounting place, so yes, both port and starboard fans are a possibility.

Fan queston for you gurus

So, I am embarking on a design project and had some things I want to clear up. I had some questions about the cooling fan (not the heat sink fan, the extrusion cooling fan, starboard side, 24v). Just trying to wrap my head around it. I see so many different fan shroud designs. Some seem to aim right...
