Re: Auto-level process pushing too hard

I found the green stuff that you have on the kitchen sponges with exactly the right thickness and have replaced my worn wiper with that. The green ones I've found available here have an abrasive in them. I would be concerned that over the long term you are going to abuse your nozzle. I'm using blue...

Re: Auto-level process pushing too hard

I have a pair of metal tweezers close by. If I see that the nozzle is pushing too hard, I touch the tweezers to the nozzle and the washer. I cancel and restart.

Re: Mini - Marlin FW 1.1RC3

How do you build this stuff? I tried using the makefile on ubuntu linux however it doesn't work. If I load Marlin.ino into Arduino version 1.0.6 I can get it to build (after fixing issue below). Are you using the gui to build or the makefile? Also, the Configuration.h has non ascii characters and fa...

Re: Why not run Mini without Auto Bed Leveling?

I've thought that maybe smarter firmware would be a nice change. The firmware might probe the bed and if it is +/- some percentage different from the previous reading it could prompt the user to clean the nozzle. It could then probe again instead of having to go through extra steps. I find it extrem...

Re: Getting started with the Mini

You could go into easy print mode and load up a model. Then save the gcode to a file. Then switch the mode back to full settings and use the "File/Load Profile from GCode ..." option to pull in the easy print settings.

Re: question about steps per unit

Actually I just got an answer on #reprap. They add the .5 for shrinkage.

question about steps per unit

I'm looking at the marlin firmware on my lulzbot mini and trying to figure out how the x and y axes are using 100.5 steps per unit. I can understand if it was 100 where I have a 200 steps per revolution, 16 microsteps and a 16 tooth belt. However, I don't see how it ends up being 100.5. Any hints? T...

Re: Some prints from my 7 day old mini

Wow. Busy busy! Look great. Seems you're printing more part / tool thingys? BTW the stage picture looks like a precursor to a good night ;-) Yeah it was a good night. I was trying out the different material and a range of parts to see how it did. I've got to say I'm pleased with just about everythi...
