Re: Mini not connecting to Cura 2 Lulzbot Edition

May I ask what did you do that made it working with Cura?
I am facing a similar issue, after a windows upgrade Cura not connecting to Mini anymore, I've tried different versions of Cura but I can't get it to work. Your help would be appreciated

Re: Cura 21.04 bug when using raft

I just found out that there is a workaround. If you change the layer height then it recalculates the layers and you get the correct result. For example an object at 0.2mm layer height it produces 65 layers, then adding a raft you lose the last 3 layers of the object. Changing the layer height to som...

Cura 21.04 bug when using raft

Hi, I do not know if this has been reported before, forgive me also if this is not the right place to report it but could not find a way in the https://code.alephobjects.com to report it. Anyway. I import an STL to Cura and it slices it to 239 layers. When I chose to add a raft (total 4 layers, 2 su...

Re: Guide on upgrading TAZ4 with E3D v6

I'd start from basic debugging. Are you sure that the extruder is E0 and not E1? Basically check where it is connected on the RAMPO board. Have you made the test prints from the PC or from SDCard? Can you check that the baud rate on the serial connection to the printer is set correctly. This can be ...

Re: Guide on upgrading TAZ4 with E3D v6

UPDATE Connecting the extruder fan to the fan that cools the extruded filament has major problems. Basically during the first layers the nozzle gets a drop in temperature because it is close to the bed and the flow from the 2nd fan cools it down. So I connected the extruder fan to FAN 1 on the board...

Guide on upgrading TAZ4 with E3D v6

Hi, I decided to write down here the steps I took to complete an upgrade of the TAZ4 to a E3D v6 24V hot end. As it seemed I had to look around to a few different places to find all the details. Also included are some changes to Marlin for the auto extruder fan to work properly. Let's start, so you ...

Re: Hotend heating issue : Taz4 + e3d V6

About the temperature... what temperatures are you trying to reach? do you have an air duct blowing air to the end of the nozzle? If you are still using the default duct that TAZ 4 came with then that's probably the reason... because the air goes on the nozzle and not on the extruded plastic. About ...

#define PID_MAX 155
and
#define PID_INTEGRAL_DRIVE_MAX 220

Re: TAZ 4 clogging issues with PLA

I did try the mod with the fan duct and for sure I got improvements as I managed to do up to 10h print. But it was not persistent maybe due to forgetting to have the fan at 100% at all times... Anyway I'm upgrading to E3D v6 now and will be posting more details soon. But for my experience upgrading ...

Re: TAZ 4 clogging issues with PLA

UPDATE: I did print the fan duct that was suggested above and did manage to produce a 10h and another 18h print so definately big improvement. But had another clogging issue yesterday only after an hour of print. Not sure yet if this was due to the fan working at low %. I noticed that on Slic3r the ...
