Taz 5 and Taz Mini for sale

Well, I tried the whole 3d printing thing and I guess it really isn't for me. So I have two printers that I am now trying to sell. Both were bought last year. The Taz I bought direct from the Lulzbot website. The Mini I picked up from Amazon. I haven't had any real problems out of either, except I c...

Re: Mini bearing pocket ID's

You can switch to expert settings and just copy over the g code for the nozzle cleaning and self leveling. I have only printed in the quick settings once. And that was for the test rock top us print. Just transfer over the basic profile from quick print to expert settings and then tweak it all you w...

Re: Nozzle not touching the bed

+2 on the cleaning the nozzle. Not just of filament but also any fuzz from the cleaning pad. Also in your number 4 picture it looks like there is a little bit of filament residue on the leveling washer. You definitely want to clean off any of that. What I do as a regiment with my mini is to heat it ...

Re: TAZ Mini Print Area

There is a similar post to this in the Mini section of the forums. You have to scale back the skirt in order to be able to use the full print area. I believe instructions are in the other post.

Re: Make a TAZ 5 with a TAZ 5 ?

If you look in the user gallery there is pics of a Lulzbot clone that a user made. He says that the cost was around 1k if you have a 3d printer to print the parts. I would love to make one myself one day.I have had my Taz 5 since February and I actually made a Prusa I3 myself. I made it from scratch...

Re: TAZ 5 and 1.75mm Filament

I have never been able to get any 1.75 filament to print on my Taz 5. I'm scared to even try it on the mini because the mini is printing flawlessly right now. When the thread first started, I bought some 1.75 mm hatchbox pla from Amazon because it was only like 20$ a roll. I heated up to 240 to try ...

Re: Metal plate below feeder but above extruder off slightly

The screws that hold the plate on to the extruder come up from the bottom, through the plastic, through the plate, into the greg's wade extruder body. It looks like on the mini that you have to remove the fan to access the screw thats on the right hand side. As far as aligning it goes, you could get...
