Re: Taz fan mount?

Yes - thank you! I also found this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:147966 Will do some experiments and report back. problem with that one and the one that Lulz has a link posted for is that they will *crash* into the Z motor spring on the right side even before the X axis gets to the edge of the ...

Re: Level and thickness?

So what I've been experimenting with is something similar to what 1013 posted above. I would start my print, let the 2 lines of perimeter print and the first layer start... if I was getting a squished layer, I would stop it, adjust the stop knob to raise the platform, re-home and repeater until I ha...

Level and thickness?

Why is that there are 20 different descriptions of both leveling and setting first layer thickness??? I can get the bed perfectly level (of course, any temperature change and that changes :().... But I'm sorry the description of how to set the first layer thickness is just all over the map. The manu...

Re: Weird "ribbing" on my prints

I had to replace my hot-end this past week (long story there, but not important)... while I had that apart I was just tired of the probably 1/16" of vertical and forward *play* that I had in the X axis... it was all from those IGUS (I think better termed I_SUCK) bearings. The major problem with the ...

Re: Auto bed probing and compensation with G29 Development

thanks for the info.... but you might be able to simply adjust the tightness by upping the flowrate to 110% or more during the print. 0.1mm is very little difference. Changes in room temperature, may affect the part more. Only one nut (the top one) really needs to be tight. The bottom one can be lo...

Re: Auto bed probing and compensation with G29 Development

The model is designed to 9.9mm, and it is printing to 9.1mm. I will give it an extra 0.8mm in the hex. (to 10.7) attached is the updated STL file....please print it and make sure the nut fits snuggly. If so, I will update it on thingiverse. So I printed this loosened version, it was much better tha...
