Re: TAZ 3 with TAZ 5 Extruder

Thanks Brent, I will keep that in mind! Makes way more sense.

I am still getting funky blobing however. I plan to do more tweaking this week.

Re: TAZ 3 with TAZ 5 Extruder

Hi Galadriel, Thank you for spending time to replay back! I will try your suggestions tonight but one thing I noticed is that the dead center of my bed is higher in the z axis then the rest of the bed. I actually first ran the calibration print shown in your video (the curvy X figure) and the outsid...

Re: TAZ 3 with TAZ 5 Extruder

Hey guys, Hate to interrupt this thread but I have a very similar problem. Recently bought a Taz 3 on ebay and did all the necessary upgrades to Taz 5. I flashed the rambo board with the Taz 5 firmware but the prints are coming out like crap as well. When I say I upgraded to Taz 5, what I replaced w...

Re: Issues Flashing Lulzbot Taz 6 Clone

SOLVED:

After messing around with the printer for a while I used the LCD Controller and went into the configurations folder and selected "factory reset" and all the issues went away.

I have no idea why that fixed everything, but it did. I am now a happy camper. :D

Re: TAZ 4 to TAZ 6 Upgrade

Inventabuild, you are not alone. I am suffering from the same thing. The nozzle does not home over the z end stop.

I think we have the same issue maybe? Sorry this is not a solution.

12mm igus linear bearing issue

Hey guys, Recently bought a pair of 12mm rods from itworks3d and 12mm igus bearings from lulzbot and the bearings were almost impossible to get on the rail, and once on the rail were not sliding like the similar 10mm ones i have. This is not an alignment issue with the x carriage its just the single...

Taz 6 inside enclosure - PLA Clogging

Hey all! Personally own two Taz 5 printers, but my employer has purchased a bunch of Taz 6's. They bought enclosures for each printer and village plastics black PLA. We have not had a successful print yet. The nozzle keeps clogging about 5-10% into the print. I have seen this before on my personal p...

Re: Taz 5 Extruder Issue

what voltage is the larger fan? specifically is it a 5v fan, or a 12v fan? the picture looks like PLA bore lock to me which would indicate inadequate barrel cooling of the hotend. Hey piercet, your right its a 12v fan. :x Think if I change out the fan for a 5v this issue will go away? :crosses fing...
