Re: Lulzbot Taz Pro vs Raise 3D Pro 2

I think the TAZ Pro would be a good printer.

Re: What is the future of LulzBot and Aleph

The company is back up and running but there's a big backlog of emails/voicemails/support tickets to work through.

Re: Repair request

I received this reply on a support request that was submitted. Sounds like they're getting people re-hired and will start working through the backlog later today: On November 8th, 2019, Fargo Additive Manufacturing Equipment 3D (FAME 3D) purchased the assets of Aleph Objects and will continue to dev...

Re: PEI bed surface

Yes, but that would not be a turnkey solution that the noobies need. Cutting PEI is a bit of a challenge without the right tools.
We have a laser cutter at our disposal that could cut a perfect 12" circle in PEI.

Re: HIPS or PLA filament source

Gonna toot my own horn here and recommend 3Dom USA PLA filament. Very high quality stuff, tight tolerances, made in USA. No HIPS yet, though it is something we are looking at.

Re: Z-Ribbing/waviness on TAZ 4

Hmm. Everything looks correct from the pictures. You might want to try removing some of the grease from the leadscrew, it is a little thick. It also looks like the bushings themselves might be a little worn or out of round. I can't tell if it's just reflection or not there. Might be worth a shot tr...

Re: Z-Ribbing/waviness on TAZ 4

This is a stock factory TAZ 4. Firmware is pretty much stock. I had to do a PID autotune and set the values in firmware, then re-flash.

Everything seems to be in alignment, though I'll admit, I'm not the best at knowing what proper alignment is.

I've attached some pictures of my TAZ 4.

Any thoughts on what is causing it and how to fix it?

Re: Holy cow this thing is fast!

Are you still using the stock nozzle on the Taz 4 as well? I think it is 0.35, right? I am in the market for a 3d printer and was looking heavily at the Taz4, but the hot end looks so much better on the mini, but this could just be the honeymoon period as well. I am using the stock nozzle on the TA...

Re: Simplify3D Top Surface Not Connecting With Edge

Increasing infill by 20% helped, but now that puts me at 40% infill. Makes for a spendier print, that's for sure.
