Re: TAZ6 Thermocouple with MAX6675 installation

That's strange... You could take a look in this: https://ohai.lulzbot.com/project/firmware-flashing/firmware-flashing . Although, from what you're saying, if it was a miscommunication or miscompile issue, then you should get an error message from Arduino and nothing would have been uploaded. It seem...

Re: Taz 5 e3Dv6 PT100 Thermocouple

Hi all. I have described this exact upgrade in an older thread. You might find something there to help you out: "TAZ6 Thermocouple with MAX6675 installation" https://forum.lulzbot.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7019 @rocketman123: I believe the description in the aforementioned thread will help you with yo...

Re: Taz 6 - Trinamic 2130 Stepper Drivers

These little things seem to be very interesting. Especially when it comes to printing overnight!! So, for the sake of conversation, lets say that we'd like to bypass the onboard drivers and use the TMC-2130. How would we do that? I'm sure we'd have to use the "Motor Ext" socket, but it can't be just...

Re: Hotend REALLY clogged

Seems really bad. Have you tried to disassemble the hear break as well? For dissolving the PLA, acetone might not be best but Weld-On No3 from SciGrip, believe me, it softens it very well. The thing is that being cooked and stuck in there so bad who really knows what kind of chemical could have any ...

Re: TAZ6 Thermocouple with MAX6675 installation

I just checked the PT100 temperature ranges, and it can only go up to 400 C. I need to measure up to 600 C, so this is not going to work for me. I'm really curious in to what kind of plastic filament you're interested in extruding  !! In any case, for such high temps the aluminum heat block ...

Re: TAZ6 Thermocouple with MAX6675 installation

I have the TAZ5 not the 6, thus my firmware is the latest official I could find from lulzbot, the "Marlin_TAZ45_Uaru_1.0.0.1". Regardless, the modifications I suggested are universal. And don't forget that text following the double slashes "//" is considered "comment". In your case, as long as you m...

Re: TAZ6 Thermocouple with MAX6675 installation

You're welcome :) Glad you found it useful! And I just noticed that in my first post I called Marlin as Merlin ... Anyways, please do remember that after installing the PT100, the temperatures reading will be more accurate and thus you should probably double and cross check the readings with ...

Re: TAZ6 Thermocouple with MAX6675 installation

My approach in this is a bit different. I'm using the E3D PT100 sensor with its amplifier board. The whole thing had me messing with both software and hardware but it was totally worth it for its accuracy, stability and range. The PT100 amplifier board, following E3D's guideline, needs to connect to...

Re: Introduction and questions about Nylon

So, I’m not sure how to edit my posts or I wouldn’t keep double posting... Looking at 910 and bridge, I think they may both be too flexible for my purposes. Thoughts? Well, you're right about those two. They're my favorite and especially 910. Bridge can be considered somewhat flexible but not the 9...
