Re: TAZ modular bed... metal plate sags.

I finally got tired of the uneven heat. (bed set to 110, reads with heatgun 75) and used a sheet of the 3M adhesive and stuck the steel to the glass. Now it gets to 110. Debating what to do with the second modular system I have on another machine.

Re: Taz 6 with Duet Wifi board and BL-Touch

I've always wondered about changing the board. I have a duet wifi on my Delta. Nice job.

Re: Taz Bed Not Heating Up - Help with troubleshooting

Thanks for having this post here. I just had one of my three Taz 5's have this exact problem. New parts coming from ITworks in a couple days, but I'll have to look into getting those other connectors for if this happens to my fleet again.

Re: Larger Taz question

Thanks for the info Piercet. I'm going to have to look into something, and I really like the accessibility of the taz frame. I'll have to do some cad work when I have time to mock it up. I may just look into expanding the X size as that would solve all my problems. Sourcing heater pads will be a bit...

Larger Taz question

One of the things that I notice after converting to openrails on X and Y on my taz 5's, the extruder carriage is rock solid, which is great. But Is there anything that would be not so solid if one were to make the x and y long enough to handle a 16 x 16" bed? Height I don't care so much about, and I...

It lives! Thanks for the write up Piercet. It may of just been me, but on the x axis parts, specifically the motor block, and idler parts, the 10mm bolts were too short to get a t-nut to work on. I just remodeled the parts to make the holes a bit deeper, but everything works great!

Re: Adding an Openbuilds Openrail x axis to a Lulzbot Taz 4/5

Thanks. Should have the missing screws and spacers by wed so I can finish this all up. Already have the z-wobble device in the printer I'm converting. Pictures of where I am. I did remodel the printed backplate to use the stock style belt locks so that the open ends come off the backplate at the app...

Re: Adding an Openbuilds Openrail x axis to a Lulzbot Taz 4/5

After a few hours I found myself missing a couple parts I forgot to order, so my build is on hold for a couple days. Quick question thought. Is the belt bracket the printed version of the backplate? I didn't see anything in the instructions for working with that part vs the metal backplate.

Re: New Taz 6

Something is definitely fishy. The bed should not look like that. The adhesive is all bubbled/funny looking. It should look super clean.
