Re: Dust shroud for lead screws

Great suggestion!

I'll look into it. I think my local hardware store might have something similar to those bellows.

Dust shroud for lead screws

I was wondering if anyone has thought about creating a protective shroud to avoid getting dust/debris on their lead screws. In a dusty environment, like garage where I don't mind things warming up, a shroud can help extend the life of the those lubricated parts, which seem to attract dust. A retract...

Re: Heavy duty herringbone gears for Taz

Sweet! That's rather stout. You will have to change your esteps, but your estep value won't be exactly the same as everyone elses- it will be close enough to get moving: WARNING: even though they're direct replacements, you still need to modify your firmware! You need to change the E steps in your ...

Heavy duty herringbone gears for Taz

I just uploaded my gears to thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:483200 They're much thicker than stock gears and should improve prints slightly. The stepper gear should also last longer. Make sure to read instructions: these gears will not work unless you change your firmware. Gear ratio c...

Re: Taz 3.1->4.0 Stiffened X Ends

Hi, can you tell us which parts are these two pieces replacing? Which parts did you integrate? can you take a picture with the parts installed?

After finding this, I don't know what to print anymore.

thanks

Taz v1 -> Taz v2 Upgrade

Hi,

I'd like to know about the hardware needed to upgrade my Taz v1 to Taz v2. I'm mainly interested in the SD Card printing option.

Will Lulzbot sell upgrade kits?

Thanks

Re: Octoprint, anyone try it yet?

I haven't tried it yet because I don't use raspberry pi, but this would make a great application for android.

Re: Z-Nut-Spring

Hi,

Were there any adjustments to the software to compensate for the difference in screw nut size? Or is this modification a "drop-in" replacement?

Great job on the CAD work, the parts printed cleanly. I'm waiting for them to restock the Lead Screws (they were sold out) :(

Nice!

Thank you, but how would this work if we built a custom enclosure?
