Re: Dual Extruder V2 Heat Block Fan Upgrade

Is this upgrade the same as https://www.lulzbot.com/store/parts/dual-extruder-fan-mount-v2 ? No, that's the part that blows directly onto the print itself to cool it. This attaches next to the heatsink to prevent heat creep. I just added it to mine and before where it'd struggle to handle a 30 minu...

Re: Dual Extruder V2 Heat Block Fan Upgrade

I'm about to undertake this upgrade myself. Just to be sure I'm not missing anything, do I only need these parts? 20mm x 8mm 5v fan x2 M4 x 35mm bolt x2 I replaced one of the extruder bolts, the one underneath the stepper motor, using an M4 x 35mm machine screw with a 7mm hex head. This also solves ...

Re: TAZ 5 and 1.75mm Filament

I just tried the Bowden tube method with my Mini and it worked flawlessly. Just slipped it in from the top, cut it at a 45 degree angle, and I've finally managed success with PLA, ABS, and ColorFabb XT. Thanks the idea!

Re: 1.75 mm filament with a LulzBot Mini

I've finally managed to get consistent and good prints out of my Lulzbot mini using various kinds of 1.75mm filament. Printing at normal speed and just changing the filament to 1.75mm. This was my process of trial and error until I got it working PLA - Applied olive oil to the first 5 inches or so, ...

Re: 1.75mm Filament w/ Taz 5 ... resolved???

Could you post the video of the installation and final product? I think I'll try something like this for my Mini and see if it works. Thanks!

http://3dprint.com/106974/convert-lulzb ... -filament/

I have a few spools of 1.75mm sitting around as well, it was 50/50 if it worked or not. I just bought 3mm filament and I'm slowly selling off the 1.75mm.

Repairing a damaged PEI sheet

I just replaced my PEI sheet a few months ago since it was bubbling. Yesterday the auto-level feature must have messed up because the nozzle was etching into the PEI sheet. I clean the nozzle regularly, but I guess some plastic must have still been on the tip. So I aborted the print and homed everyt...

Re: Flexystruder and swapping extruders

Sadly, not currently. The flexystruder PTFE tube gets worn out quickly by harder filaments. I haven't found any testing to determine how much faster it wears out. You also can't adjust the tension on the filament. It would be nice if there were a single unit that worked well for both types. Apparen...
