Re: Printer stops extruding, Chomps filament

My money is on either a clogged nozzle or, more likely, heat creep. Is your extruder cooling fan still running?

Re: Can you print a Teapot Lid?

Re: Dial gauges

You might try the dial indicator mount here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1396011

It is designed to clip on to the tool head so you don't have to remove the existing toolhead.

Re: [TAZ5] noise during Z homing

The "horrible noise" you heard when homing the Z axis may have been caused by something preventing one of the Z lead screws from moving. With the power to the TAZ off, make sure that both lead screws turn freely. Make sure that nothing is preventing full travel of the Z axis on both sides. Once you ...

Re: Z axis threaded part

From the BOM it is a 10mm x 2mm Flange mount supernut (Thomson MTS10 x 2m). You might check out IT Works (https://itworks3d.com/product/lulzbot-m ... hd-nt0047/) for purchasing options.

(I also purchased a set of metric drill bits, but that was a ...

Re: Mini FlexyStruder On Taz 5?

Minor correction to piercet's response: You will need print a new TAZ extruder mount (not carriage) and mount the mini's hotend, extruder, and fans on the newly printed extruder mount. You can also reuse your current extruder mount at the expense of additional work required whenever you want to chan...

Re: Temp swings 8 deg.

You might start by making sure your PID settings are correct. I have found https://www.lulzbot.com/support/fine-tu ... d-settings to be extremely useful at smoothing out the temperature swings when I swap hotends/extruders.

Click on the "Expert" menu and open the "Expert config" dialog. You probably want to change your Structure type to "Grid"
