Re: upgrades

That system requires a different control board. you can probably fit it in, but I would be willing to bet significant sums of money that it won't be available as an aftermarket supported add on. Too much electrical things to go wrong for the average 3d printer user.

Re: Taz Pro Build Log

Neat!!!

Let me know if you have any interest in selling a set of the y and top frame plates, possibly 3 of the frame corners if you are cutting them? I'm going a different route on the motion bits and the extruder setup. I will be adding the filliment sensors for sure though.

Re: Loose Red Wire ?

That's almost certainly the wire from the fan. My guess is that someone upgraded that printer to a Taz 6-ish carriage but didn't run both wires to the same connector so only one of the side fans is live. The center barrel cooling fan is required, the side fans are nice but if they aren't working you...

Re: Help. Taz 3 upgrade. I’m not good at this.

Post pictures of your hotend wiring , the extruder wire and the inside of the control box and I can tell you whats going on. Chances are the extra wire is the Taz 6 bed leveling wire, which you will not need. The error you are seeing probably means that you have the thermistor and the heater wires s...

Re: Printing question - Flat Surfaces

New flat surface question. If I print something like a cube the vertical surfaces are wavey, they show some offset in the x and or y direction. Is there an adjustment I can make to tighten this up. I'm running a mini 1.4 version, stock. Regards, Mike With your printer cold, move the nozzle out into...

Re: castable printing wax

Printing onto a cold bed with a waxed cardboard sheet as a substrate or butcher paper taped down seems to work for me. I do not believe we tried either of those in the past, thanks for the heads up! You're welcome! Printing onto a wax sheet also works if you can find them in the first place. Candle...

Re: castable printing wax

Anyone try printing with this from machinable wax We have done some experimenting with that material, and our largest issues was finding an effective reliable way to keep it adhered to the bed. If you find a way that works, please let us know! Printing onto a cold bed with a waxed cardboard sheet a...
