Re: Beefy Idler Heat set insert edition

It should fit, the spacing is the same. I'll print one and confirm it does. ... idler bolts but should work fine with the stock Taz 5 ones though (M4 vs M5 or something like that) Did anyone confirm a fit with Taz 5 stock extruder body? Mine is broken but still printing.. I'll print this one if it ...

Taz 5 FlexyDually esteps calibration problems on E1

I'm having a lot of trouble getting my FlexyDually E1 tool to do repeatable estep calibration runs. I do get some repeatable runs, but many are quite different. Here's why I'm doing it.. I switched out the flexy for the original wade(?) extruder body only. This retains the hotend, fan and stepper fr...

Re: Improving small sphere quality

If you're watching the print, when it gets closer to the top layers, gradually slow down the print with the dial next to the LCD screen. Although the indicator says the "FR" is changing (Flow Rate?), it really just slows down the whole process, allowing more cooling time for each layer. If you just ...

Re: FlexyDually - how can I print from a single extruder/filament

Cool, thanks Brent -- I was able to send T1 for selecting flexy extruder, but I'm now looking for how to tell Cura to slice for flex instead of ABS? I posted in that thread with more detail. kcchen_00: I'll take a look at the plugin.. I've been looking for a reason to see how plugins work, and this ...

Re: Dual Extruder Advanced Usage

Ray, I'm wondering how to trick Cura into slicing with a Ninjaflex profile? (My guess is that a merged model uses E0 filament settings for the first-loaded model part, and e1 flex filament settings and nozzle size for the other model part?) I used the T1 trick from the print control window, and whil...

FlexyDually - how can I print from a single extruder/filament

I can't find a setting in Cura for allowing a single filament print.

I have an STL that I'd like to print with Ninjaflex (E1 on the flexy dually).

Do I need to load an alternate firmware, or somehow configure Cura Flexydually machine settings for a E1-only print?

Any tips for the PEI replacement on a TAZ? (I too ruined my PEI sheet prying a part that cooled down too far.)

Re: [Tip] Converting OpenSCAD files easily to STEP with FreeCAD

This basically worked for me.

The OpenSCAD file wouldn't open. Some error message flashed up briefly from the importer plugin.

Instead, I copy-pasted the scad code into a new document; then exported as .stp

Re: Removing parts that are really stuck to the PEI bed

The IPA trick didn't work for me on a large print. I printed one of those 5mm block calibration pieces scaled up 400% in blue ABS, to test dimensional accuracy and left it overnight to print. Cura indicated it would take over 5hrs to complete, and in the morning, the part was complete. The print was...
