Re: TAZ 5 with unusual problem. Need help

I am using PLA filament. I usually print around 210, but am trying it at higher temperatures around 220. I have a .8mm nozzle printing at 40 mm/second and at a layer height of .2mm. I set the blower fan to 50%. Does anything seem wrong?

TAZ 5 with unusual problem. Need help

I have a TAZ 5 with an E3D Titan Aero PRO tool head. A few days a go I had an issue with thermal runaway, but resolved it with a replacement thermistor. Now there is another problem. When I print a part, the first 30 minutes have no problem. However, after around half an hour, the filament starts sl...

Thermal Runaway error

My TAZ5 has the E3D Titan Aero PRO Toolhead. For the past several months, there has been no issues. Recently, there has been an issue with thermodynamic runaways. These problems never occur during the initial part of the print. They almost always occur at least 1 to 4 hours after the print starts. T...

Re: Lulzbot Aerostruder vs itworks E3d Aerostruder

Just got a itworks E3d Aerostruder and tried it out today. It seems to work, but the heat sink fan is very quiet. I currently have it set to 5 volts, like the stock TAZ 5 head. Should I bring it up to 12 volts like the original E3D V6 hotend kit?

Removing the PEI adhesive residue

I just removed the PEI sheet but now have some residue stuck on the glass. Rubbing alcohol and glue remover seem to temporarily soften it, but nothing is dissolving it. How do I get rid of it without scratching the glass?

When to replace the bushings on a TAZ 5

I have a TAZ 5 that is over 2 years old. I notice a slight wobble on the build plate bushings, but it does not seem to affect the build yet. When I wiped the rods, I notice that there is a little grey dirt. Does this mean that the bushings are worn out?

Anyone put a thermocouple on a TAZ 5?

I have a e3d v6 hotend on my taz5 and am planning on upgrading the temperature sensor so that I can get temperatures up to 400C. I want to be able to use ultem filaments. Are there any issues to this?

Anyone here sell their old taz for a taz6?

Would it be worth it to sell my taz5 for the new taz6, or are the upgrades insignificant? I would only do this if upgrading the taz was not easily done

Re: TAZ 6 upgrade kits

I would be interested in buying an upgrade kit. How much would it cost?
