Re: Cura 2.6.52 is excessively slow!

I agree that Cura 2.6.66 is SLOW even on brand new water cooled i7 87ook with gobs of RAM. To print I save to SD and always print from them. Therefore the print quality has been excellent on my Taz 5 with the new firmware and associated Cura. It was a strong improvement. Despite overall positive imp...

Re: New TAZ 6 (week old) ABS printing degrading over time

I replaced the stock PEI with a much thicker one that I got from Amazon or Matterhackers. It is insane how much better a thicker piece works and how long it remains workable as opposed to the constant air bubbles in the thin Lulzbot-supplied stuff. Replacing the PEI was pretty easy using the freezer...

Re: Choosing material for mountain bike pedals

Plus Alloy 910 is slippery with rock impacts and you can Dye it with RIT dye. Great stuff. Removing the support material on it can be a beach*, though.

@moderator, this topic looks dead. Can we remove it as a sticky? It dates the forum.

Add to that the variability in slicers and the modifications to personal printers and things start t...

Re: Choosing material for mountain bike pedals

Polyurethanes are going to be the toughest fro impact. Armadillo filament should work well for the external impact prone areas. It might flex too much for the pedal though.

Re: Enclosure for Lulzbots

@DrBoz, Great enclosure! Could you post some more pics the exhaust? Do you have an intake to keep the RAMBO board cool? I'm making my enclosure now. I'm routing leftover banister wood into a similar extruded slotted system. It was cheaper this way but in hindsight I think I should have bought the ex...

Cool. I've been interested in how well the flexion extruder works.

Re: Taz 6...SHOCKING!

Same thing happens on my Taz 5. Very susceptible to static. Wool socks over carpet in winter...no, no.
