Re: HOT BOX 3DP ENCLOSURE SYSTEM (For Taz)

This looks really well made, reminds me of mine! Congrats, it's one of the best examples of how it should turn out. Hope you're enjoying it... Yep, mine maxes out about there as well, sometimes I can just push 40C... have been printing ABS for almost two years now, printer and box still going stron...

Re: Anti Z wobble Z nut

I took the bars out and threw some white lithium grease on them and put them back in and that did the trick. seems to be printing fine now. I also purchased one of these: http://www.armysurpluswarehouse.com/hardware/spring-loaded-cable-reel.html Going to take and rig it up to the x axis to act as a ...

Re: Anti Z wobble Z nut

I installed this upgrade recently and it worked for a couple prints. Then all of a sudden it stopped working and started making the wobble even worse. Any ideas. Would heat from a hot box cause parts to expand and bind? Would the weight of the x axis reduce the ability to glider easier? I have the o...

Re: HOT BOX 3DP ENCLOSURE SYSTEM (For Taz)

Does anyone have a place that would be able to laser cut the front panels as a service? I am having a hard time finding someone locally that will do it with the given file below.

Re: Benchy results. Looking for critique

Hatchbox ABS is really hit or miss. I have read that people have gotten rolls of contaminated ABS that had other material in it like PLA. I had a roll of black ABS from them and it was really bad. Tons of moisture and it wasn't printing like other ABS I have had so I sent it back. Just be aware of t...

The Openrail_square_backplate_1_0_a.stl does not work without modification. The added 2 arms knock on the motor mount just the one side though.

Re: Move Taz 5 bed over 1cm?

Can't move the extruder over left any further. I have the Taz 6 extruder so the left fan goes too far. I have maybe 1mm clearance for the z leveling screw. I guess I am talking about doing step 2 in the link below but instead just moving them a little further right. https://ohai.lulzbot.com/project/...

Move Taz 5 bed over 1cm?

Would there be anything wrong with moving the taz 5 bed over 1cm to the right. As it sits now the nozzle is about 12mm from the left of the edge of the bed but can go much further to the right of the bed. Would it be feasible to move the whole bed assembly right by 10mm without changing much firmwar...

Re: Adding an Openbuilds Openrail x axis to a Lulzbot Taz 4/5

Just waiting on t nuts for the build but here's the rail so far. I made some printed spacers and a belt stabilization bar as well. Attached are the 2 spacers for the mounting plate. 6mm spacers for the wheels and 24mm spacers for the larger spacer. You would need 6 and 2 spacers respectfully if you ...
