Re: Mini 2!

Your Y axis Idler and Y Axis motor mount should be good to reuse, along with the bed corners and wiper mount. Aside from those, you are going to need to re-print all of the Z and X axis components to take advantage of the new build volume. Any idea when standalone Mini 2 parts might be available to...

Re: Aerostruder chewing up PLA... Anyone else?

@wermy - What tension setting(s) worked for you, for which filament(s)? I've searched around for recommendations, but everything is really vague. Maybe we could share, at least as a "starting point", what setting(s) work for what situations. I was using 2 turns from "full loose", and had lots of su...

Re: Aerostruder chewing up PLA... Anyone else?

Playing with the idler tension (boy that thing is a pain to adjust now) seems to have fixed it in my case. The window of the amount of tension that will work seems to be much smaller on this than on the original toolhead.

Aerostruder chewing up PLA... Anyone else?

I ran into the issue of the hobbed bolt chewing through PLA semi-frequently with the stock toolhead (Taz 6 and sometimes my Mini as well). When the Aerostruder was announced I was excited, thinking that a totally different hotend and toolhead design would have a good chance of eliminating this issue...

Re: Bed leveling failing after PEI sheet change - HELP!

Fixed it. Someone the wire underneath the build plate had broken somewhere in the bundle of wires. Ran a new wire to the control board and it's working again. :)

Bed leveling failing after PEI sheet change - HELP!

I changed my PEI sheet, as I've done a few times with my (year and a half or so old) Mini. I took the opportunity to tighten the screws under the heat bed and clean all that off with some rubbing alcohol. After changing the sheet I reinstalled the build plate, put the probing discs back in, tightene...

Taz 6: two corners of build plate too low

I've got two corners of my build plate (upper right and lower left) that are consistently lower than the other three. It's making it impossible to print out a bunch of copies of an item while maintaining a smooth first layer. I have tried: making sure the X axis is level, making sure the bolts on th...

Re: TAZ 6 Bed Calibration

Is there someway to adjust the bed calibration of the TAZ 6? Currently, the upper left hand corner of the bed produces a fantastic 1st layer (filament nicely adhered to the bed). By the time I get to the lower right hand corner, I'm almost printing in air. It seems to be a fairly linear progression...

Re: Heat Creep on Taz 6 Single Extruder 2.1 - anyone else?

Yep. Insert the tube, tighten up the idler and adjust the slicer filament diameter and retraction settings. I had to retract a little more to prevent stringing. I will post some pictures tonight. Thanks! I've got a few rolls of 1.75mm PLA just sitting there, can't wait to give this a try and see if...

Re: Heat Creep on Taz 6 Single Extruder 2.1 - anyone else?

I don't have any pictures handy but, yes, the bowden tube needs to start just below the hobbed bolt and extend to the top of the hotend heat sink. I have had the same jamming problem on E3D hotends even with larger than stock fans. The solution there was to install the heat brake with quality therm...
