Re: 7 Kg of plastic, and my X & Y linear bearings are warn out.

I have the same play on Y axes on both my TAZ6s and it just doesn't seem to cause any print problems. I was shocked when I first noticed it, but since I get good prints I have just ignored it. Haven't tried it in an anti-gravity situation, but wouldn't the extruding plastic push the bed away so that...

Re: Dual V3 Head Not Ready for Prime Time

Thank you for waiving the "restocking" fee after I complained about it a couple times. I may try a dual head again some time in the future, but after they have been tried and tested and revised a few times. I'm making production parts and really don't want to spend all my time experimenting with un...

Re: Ninja flex artifacts aerostruder

For NinjaFlex on the Aerostruder, try a temperature of 220 (helps to reduce stringing), don't print faster than 20mm/s (I use 15mm/s), print inner and outer walls and infill at the same speed, keep the fan off for the first few millimeters of layers (to avoid getting a thermal runaway error due to t...

Re: NinjaFlex help needed

Slow print speed is also important. I'm using 15mm/s for the first layer and outer walls and nothing over 20mm/s for anything else. And I've been getting even better results by upping the retraction setting to 5 to eliminate the stringing between multiple parts. 215 to 220 seems to work better than...

Re: NinjaFlex help needed

Here's a Cura profile I'm using to print NinjaFlex on a Taz 6 with the Aerostruder. This profile, as is, has no infill, but I have used the same profile with an infill, and changing the infill setting doesn't affect the final quality, so if you need infill it's no problem. Don't expect to get good q...

Re: Dual V3 Head Not Ready for Prime Time

There are connectors. I have some posts on my trials and tribulations with the V3 and thermal irregularity. The connector is in the loom between the sensor and the main head connector. I should have posted pics. I soldered the thermistor leads to the crimp and have had no sensor-related thermal pro...

Re: Dual V3 Head Not Ready for Prime Time

The thermistor that failed in the unit I had, had some kind of white potting compound (perhaps ceramic) around the leads coming out of the metal cylindrical housing of the thermistor. There was no way to crimp anything, as the thermistor's leads were potted into the thermistor's package. If yours wa...

Re: Delays after each layer

I started getting those pauses when I updated to Cura 2.6.66. Before that I was using 21.04 and it never happened. I have two Taz 6 machines and they both do that pause thing that ruins the print if it is near an outside edge when it happens. It seems like printing from the SD card instead of via US...
