Re: Taz6 inductive probe mod, & ? bug in Marlin 1.1.8.62 ?

I have the same exact ITWorks build but I use the BLTouch - works like a dream. If you haven't already I would consider getting the BLTouch (their cheap) and much more precise than an inductive probe. The FW is also easy to edit to use the BLTouch. Currently I'm using the latest (1.1.9.28) build and...

T6 1.1.9.x + BLTouch...

OK figured it all out - here it is if you want to give it a try - you will need to edit Config_LulzBot.h for you toolhead, change the temp sensor in Conditionals_LulBot.h and the temp sensor pin in pins_RAMBO.h unless you using a k-type thermocouple on pin 3 for the hotend.... Use at your own risk -...

Re: Taz 5 + BLTouch [Project]

Hey just want to run a question by the group - have been using BLTouch + 1.1.8 on a T6 for a long time now - just made the mods to 1.1.9 and everything works fine..... But... when a print ends the exit script is executed fine but the printer seems to think it's still in the middle of a print - i.e. ...

Re: Stock Taz 6 Thermistors

You shouldn't have to do anything to the firmware if you order the correct thermistor (Semitec 100kOhm). The Taz 6 uses the same Semitec thermistor as the one that E3D supplies with their hot ends unless otherwise specified. I've had both the Semitec and PT100 RTD's fail BTW... and the way they fail...

Re: Wanted - Taz 6 - Removable flexible bed mod ideas

If the steel is stainless it will likely not hold a magnet - some cheaper non-austenitic stainless will be magnetic...

Also why stainless - I would go with 1/8 or 3/16 aluminum plate - half the weight and a much much better conductor of heat...

Re: Stock Taz 6 Thermistors

I was too - you really just have to dive into it - I can help you configure the FW for a thermocouple - it's actually very simple and you always have your back up stock FW to fall back on. You need to get the E3D amplifier board and wire it to 5v+ and ground on the controller board - this thing here...

Re: Stock Taz 6 Thermistors

Do the E3D ones require any firmware changes or just changing the electrical and mechanical attachments? Thanks I you order the E3D hotted for the Taz 6 will come with the correct thermistor in a potted brass cartridge. I went to thermocouples on my hot ends (all E3D) - indestructible and you can m...

Re: Wanted - Taz 6 - Removable flexible bed mod ideas

You have AC ruining through your heating pad??? N52 is the strongest readily available but by the quick test I posted they're not even necessary - the quench temp is well above 180°C - so unless you running your heating pad above that - wouldn't worry. Yes the magnets go under the heating pad and pu...

Re: Wanted - Taz 6 - removable flexible bed mod?????

Actually the silicone heater itself must have some Fe in it - magnet sticks to it pretty good without anything on the other side! And this is a counter sunk magnet so not even as strong as a solid disk:

Re: Wanted - Taz 6 - removable flexible bed mod?????

Thanks for sharing your ideas. My question about using the Taz6 silcone heater - it takes up almost the whole surface of moving plate. There isn't much place to put magnets around the edges. Maybe we could use clips to hold additional plate? Although the magnet solution is so much more elegant. Idk...
