Re: Tapered prints.

Here is webpage I found describing the exact issue I'm still encountering. Scroll down to "Printing Defects: Flashing" section. Anyone else having the same problem?

Re: TAZ Slic3r profiles

I've been following these instructions to load a new profile: "To view the contents of each profile simply click on them. Your browser should display the contents. To save the profile right click on the profile you would like and select "Save as". Once saved to a memorable location, load the configu...

Re: Tapered prints.

Piercet, I'm not sure its the levelness of the bed. I've used the same bed leveling technique on my lulzbot as I have on my friends makerbot and he doesn't have the same issue. I watched most of the prints and I can see that for first ~.05 - .1 inch of the part, regardless of the layer height value,...

Re: Centering Prints

Claudio at Lulzbot was very helpful in solving the problem. Apparently when I went to update the firmware some how I screwed up. I'm not even sure what I did wrong, but the firmware was overriding any of the settings I placed in the slic3r software regarding the center location and the print bed siz...

Re: TAZ Slic3r profiles

Quick question, I think I'm using a medium slic3r profile released in the past and I always get a taper on portion of the print in contact with the print bed. For example if I print a cylinder standing on end, the area of the circle in contact with the print bed is large in area than the circle on t...

Tapered prints.

Every print coming off my printer has a taper on the face that is in contact with print bed. If I intend to print a cylinder the area of the circle in contact with the bed is a larger than the area of the circle at the top of the print. Its causing problems when I try to mate parts. If I print a sha...

Centering Prints

I know this seems like a trivial question, but I can't for the life of me center my prints. I have a lulzbot taz 3, I know the bed size is 298x280 and the center point 149x140. I've enter those values into multiple releases of slic3r in the configuration wizard and the the various modes while also v...
