Re: Taz 6 Left Side not Lifting

hi does the left side actually lift up and down on its own if moved up and down by hand? if so, then amazingly you've threaded the nut! other tthings to try: (1) get a multimeter, disconnect each z motor, set it to resistance and check and compare the resistance across all combinations of wires on t...

Re: Need help inserting new Igus bushings

when you say "damaged" what exactly do you mean? do you mean for example "the printer was dropped so that the frame was bent into a parallelogram"? because the symptoms you're describing - two bearings binding to the z-rod - tend to suggest that the frame is bent into a parallelogram, when looked at...

Re: TAZ 6, Slop?

the quality from these prints is really surprisingly bad, in stark contrast to everyone else with this design of printer. can i suggest a few things to check? (1) the belts: do you get a clearly-audible "punggg" sound from both the x and y belts? if you can't get an audible note the belts are far to...

Re: Getting to stick

get yourself some printbite. the engineer who researched the materials properties *really* knows what he's doing. but please, *follow the installation instructions to the letter*. don't touch it with your hands. when it cools down there's an audible "crinkle" and the part just pops easily off. no fu...

Re: Crowd funding? Use CrowdSupply!

So far they haven't got back to me. ok, i know that they're very very busy. two things that are very very important: (1) be absolutely clear about what it is that you want to achieve. (2) be absolutely 100% confident that you can achieve it. now, (2) can be in the form of 100% having a working hard...

Re: What should we make next?

A small (size of the TAZ), inexpensive, open source CNC mill capable of working wood, plastic, aluminum, etc. Extra points for being able to work steel. :) Add-ons might include continuous liquid cooling and a forth axis. i've seen a $150 CNC from taobao, it was *real* basic, and amazingly was func...

Re: Cura 21 exception

https://github.com/numpy/numpy/issues/7225 requires the use of "np.sum" instead of "pos += ". ok so this works: if objMin is None: return numpy.add(pos, (objMin + objMax) / 2.0 * 1000, out=pos, casting="unsafe") commandList += ['-s', 'posx=%d' % int(pos[0]), '-s', 'posy=%d' % int(pos[1])] and that's...
