Re: HS+ Head Taz 6 Major Issues!

Also, I am using Cura for Lulzbot 3.3.32 and printing over the air with octoprint 1.3.11 Hmm, I would first recommend updating to Cura 3.6.18 as the 3.2.32 version is quite a bit outdated. You can see all of the improvements we have made sense then here: https://code.alephobjects.com/w/cura-lulzbot...

Re: How is Percentage Done Calculated?

percentage done on it's LCD screen and I was wondering how the percentage done was being calculated. The LCD screen will report a % done by number of gcode lines. This is not the most accurate as some gcode lines will require more time (think a long straight line across the build volume vs a small ...

Re: Taz Pro Issues - Print Failures

Is it an optical sensor that doesnt like white? How do I adjust the run-out sensor or disable it from stopping my prints? The runout and strip out detector is a rotary encoder that is tied to marlin. Essentially when the extruder is supposed to be laying down filament, the sensor checks for movemen...

Re: Cura-Lulzbot v3.6.13 layer height setting issue

My gut tells me there's a better abstraction for all of this, but I don't yet know what to suggest. When doing a dual extrusion print, both layer heights need to be set the same in order to prevent collisions of the print head and printed object when switching between the two. In order to ensure th...

Re: How do you download from code.alephobjects?

Just to chime in, we will provide a zip file for all stable firmware releases here: http://download.lulzbot.com/Software/Marlin/

This will be located at the top of the list for the specific firmware you are trying to build.

Re: Z-offset question?

Can I increase this value over 100% Absolutely, you can increase over 100%. If you go too high, it will result in a "strip out" where essentially the extruder is trying to force filament through the hot end faster than it can be melted. We would recommend probably 2-5% increases at a time while dia...

Re: Z-offset question?

Should I be using different offsets with different types of resin? What you are running into is known as Die Swell . This is essentially a property of a thermoplastic to expand when forced through a small hole. Different materials will expand at different rates, and ABS generally expands more than ...

Re: How much stringing is acceptable?

It looks like the objects are quite small, and the issue may lay with not enough time to cool between layers. A few settings that might help will be the "lift" option along with the "minimal layer time" setting. This will essentially lift your print head away from the object until the minimum layer ...
