Re: Z-offset question?

Can I increase this value over 100% Absolutely, you can increase over 100%. If you go too high, it will result in a "strip out" where essentially the extruder is trying to force filament through the hot end faster than it can be melted. We would recommend probably 2-5% increases at a time while dia...

Re: Z-offset question?

Should I be using different offsets with different types of resin? What you are running into is known as Die Swell . This is essentially a property of a thermoplastic to expand when forced through a small hole. Different materials will expand at different rates, and ABS generally expands more than ...

Re: How much stringing is acceptable?

It looks like the objects are quite small, and the issue may lay with not enough time to cool between layers. A few settings that might help will be the "lift" option along with the "minimal layer time" setting. This will essentially lift your print head away from the object until the minimum layer ...

Re: Latest Firmware for TAZ5 - advanced development version

Seeing this one brought back to life, I thought to take the chance to mention we do have Marlin 2.0.0 builds for all our printers. We have not done thorough testing on some of our older models and as such have not included it within Cura LE as a standard update. For anyone who would like to try the ...

Re: Filament Flow Rate Control

But, when I set it to 100% what does it mean in mm/s or whichever appropriate units. Can I get an excat value corresponding to that 100 % ? The flow rate percentage will have an affect your set esteps/mm in the firmware. 100% will use the exact number while changing this percentage will use that pe...

Does anyone have this info or know where I can get it?
Through your LCD screen go to Menu > Advanced Settings > Nozzle Offset. This will report X, Y, and Z offsets as currently set.

Re: Cura 3.6.3 Lulzbot Edition: Taz 5 - Bed Leveling

Additionally, manually sending the "G28 Z" command in the console returns an error asking for x/y to be homed first. One of the safety features implemented in upstream marlin 1.1.9 is this feature. It requires the print head to be homed in X/Y when first powering on the printer. (Or after a firmwar...

Re: LulzBot Mini Flexystruder Tool Head v2 Files?

Devel.lulzbot.com will contain all of our internal code names, so it can be a little bit confusing. Once we release a product, we will get it posted to download.lulzbot.com using the retail product names, which may be a little easier to navigate. You can find the Mini specific files here: http://dow...

Re: Vase Mode??

why don't I see reference to vase? In Cura LE 2.6+ it will be called Spiralize Outer Counter. To get this set up, go to Custom Settings > Special Modes > Spiralize Outer Counter. This will generate a single wall that slowly moves up as it is creating the outer shell. Just be sure to have infill per...

Re: ABS "squeeze"

I am thinking this is a bed heat issue, Should bringing the temp to 100 be good? It is looking to be a temperature issue, but depending on the size of the print it will point in a few different heating possibilities. For the small part, it could be due to insufficient cooling time between layers. P...
