Re: Taz 6 Z Probe: I need some bed leveling help

I think your X axis might need to be leveled as the left side is .8+ and the right side is .0+. Take a look at https://forum.lulzbot.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=10374 for a quick check and leveling procedure. Also, take a look at https://forum.lulzbot.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=7904 which discusses even ...

Re: Time to upgrade?

My intent was to help you make sure upgrading your KITTAZ was the best option for you. I don't know enough about the KITTAZ to help you with your questions about compatibility and specific improvements. Good Luck!

Re: material filling in small holes in the design

The other thing you can do is if you want a 1mm hole, model it to be 1.5mm (or some other "larger than 1mm" value). I do agree, however, that you are over extruding. The simplest adjustment is to reduce the flow. Try 98%, 96%, 94%, etc. You don't have to print the whole part, just enough layers to d...

Re: Can Cure LE tell me how much plastic will be used?

CuraLE does exactly that. See the information inside the red box in the following screenshot (this is for a dual color print so it shows each extruder separately):

Re: Strange start script behavior. Heats to print temp instead of melting temp before the button press and wipe

So there it is, before S3D outputs the start gcode it outputs:

Code: Select all

G90
M82
M106 S0
M140 S60
M190 S60
M104 S202 T0
M109 S202 T0
If you can figure out where that comes from you can eliminate it.

Re: Time to upgrade?

Here's a article that probably does a better job of describing what is available than I can. https://all3dp.com/1/best-3d-printer-reviews-top-3d-printers-home-3-d-printer-3d/ The Creality CR-10S has a build volume of 300 x 300 x 400 which is larger than the Lulzbot TAZ printers. I own a Lulzbot TAZ ...

Re: clogged.

This appears to be written like a reply to a post that had the details about the printer being used, etc. If so, it should be moved to that post. If not, then please add some details like what printer, what toolhead, what smaller gear, etc. Also please define what you mean by "clogged". Pictures mig...

Re: Dual Extruder Prime Tower Issue

I wasn't careful enough with my analysis of CuraLE 3.7.18. The prime tower does, in fact, print each color in a separate X,Y location so it does indeed print color 2 in thin air (move the "camera" view to top down). This is obviously a bug and I'm not sure when it was introduced as I have successful...

Re: Simulating G-code with Python

How did you remove the acceleration and jerk control? Custom firmware? While you can program the firmware for "no inertia", you can't take the inertia out of the physical system. Furthermore, stepper motors don't instantaneously step. Have a look at the sample code on this page . The basic examples ...
