Re: PEI bed surface

If that's the case I'm trying it.

Re: PEI bed surface

Is the temp range on the transfer tape sufficient for the bed?

Re: Filament always stripping during prints

Yep, the nozzle is plugged. If the filament won't extrude smoothly with the nozzle 50mm or so above the bed the nozzle is clogged.

Re: filament clogs at the nozzle while printing

I ran into similar issues a couple of weeks ago. My nozzle clogged due to a bad roll of ABS and I learned nothing short of disassembly would fix it. I ended having to drill out the 10mm threaded insert because Lulzbot used Teflon tape to seal it to the heater block so once I removed the insert I tap...

Re: TAZ 4 detail photos

It Might be a good idea to upgrade mine. These parts look more substantial then the 3. Thanks for the photos. Lulzbot could sell upgrade kits for this. I looked at some of the prints. It looks like I'll have to machine the x plates and make some new rods but the rest of it looks like printed stuff.

TAZ 4 detail photos

Would someone be so kind as to post photos of the TAZ 4 changes relative to the TAZ 3?

Thanks,

Re: Arduino version 1.0.5 R2 issues

I finally had some time to mess with the new firmware and got it loaded up and running. It takes a longer get the bed to heat up as opposed to the prior version. I've had to change the settings in Simplify 3D so that the programs I post out now won't wait for the temps to stabilize.

Re: Arduino version 1.0.5 R2 issues

Thanks for the help, much appreciated. As it stands I may try the new firmware but for now the printer is running and making good parts. If the Power resistor dies, I'll just replace it, I've got more here in the shop. I've never run the bed at 110C, the max it has ever run is 90C. The hot end has o...

Re: Arduino version 1.0.5 R2 issues

It may work fine for you but it may not work for everyone.....and that's the point. It didn't work on my machine so there may be an issue with the firmware, the loader or my machine. There are a lot of variables in play here. In addition to that when I went back to the 2013Q4 Firmware the EXACT prog...
