Re: Longer cables from control box

If you'd like to build your own longer harness, use the source files for your printer found here: http://download.lulzbot.com/. The connectors and pins we use are common and easy to build. The crimpers needed can be found online rather inexpensively.

Re: a little worried right now

What I've learned recently is to have a standardized, simple, 'calibration' object you can print to test settings for changes of filament, after maintenance, and changing slicer software. I modeled something similar to a checker game piece, or maybe a poker chip. Just a round disk 1" in diameter an...

Re: Taz 5, Aerostruder 1.75mm tool head, no filaments showing up in Cura

We currently recommend using 1.75 mm filament when a rigid material like PLA is being used by an advanced user. While 1.75 mm filament will work in your LulzBot 3D Printer, it's not going to be as reliable as using the 3 mm filament your printer was designed around. If your advanced students prefer ...

Reach out to the support team at LulzBot.com/Support with this image. If you can, look for the end of the filament near the base of the black plastic idler near the hobbed gear. If you can, snap a picture of that and send it into the tech support team. They'll be able to help guide you in removing t...

Re: Missing Z-steps after firmware update

Your Z-axis steps per unit should be 1600.
If you're still using the stock tool head, reach out to the support team at LulzBot.com/Support with your serial number. They'll be able to look up your printer in the master build log to find the factory calibrated esteps value for you.

Re: TAZ6 Bed Vibration

Try using a green scrub pad to clean your smooth rods. Over time, the self-lubricating bushings will leave a residue on the smooth rods. Reach out to the support team for detailed assistance after that.

Congrats and welcome! You'll find that your printer will happily chug along as long as it's on a stable surface. It doesn't need to be super level-- your printer will happily print, even on it's side! https://www.instagram.com/p/BiATeAFAT2r/ https://scontent-iad3-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/45c95e5dcc0956...
