Re: UK source for Mini wiper pads?

Found the shop, and ordered. Slightly confusing, as the shipping charges refer only to 'ground shipping in the United States', and all prices were in dollars, except for the final total which was by PayPal, and only then converted to UK pounds. But ordered, and on its way soon. Thanks for your help.

UK source for Mini wiper pads?

The US Lulzbot store has a set of five wiper pads for $10. And they are out of stock. If they were in stock, I could order some to be sent to a US address, where I'll be visiting shortly. I can only find one UK source, on eBay, and they sell a pack of five for £20 - that's about $25 at the current e...

Re: Reduce hot end temperature - how?

Thank you. I'll try that as soon as I'm feeling better - have a horrible cough which started in earnest this morning, and is leaving me feeling quite low and not very well.

Reduce hot end temperature - how?

I'm getting a lot of stringing on layer 1. One recommendation says to lower the (ABS) print temperature. I'm using the ABS (ICD3) profile which has a hot end temp of 245 deg. I've copied the High Detail profile to make High Detail #2. But I can't see how to edit it. Should I be copying an existing t...

Re: Path of the print nozzle?

Thanks. I wonder then why I get different results for external and internal edges - external ones seem pretty much to size, internal ones seem to shrink more than external ones grow.

Path of the print nozzle?

I'm printing some small parts where I want to get the size of the resulting part to be as close as possible to my target dimensions. I draw the models in Sketchup (often scaled up for accuracy, then scaled down again before exporting), and export to STL from there, then use Lulzbot Cura v3.2.32. In ...

Why do I not get more layers in the slicer?

I'm trying to print a small object near the resolution limits of the printer - lines and text on a plain background. The object thickness overall was 0.6mm: 0.3mm of rectangular background, and text and small rectangular boxes, making a scale, also 0.3mm thick. But the slicer is only making 2 layers...

Re: How do I tell what material I have?

I got several samples from different sources shortly after I got the printer late last year. It might have been from Rigid Ink - they had a promotion on then. Unfortunately, it wasn't labelled at all, which is why I don't now know what it is. I'll try your suggestion to find the melting point, and t...
