Re: Einsy Retro on the Taz 6

Neat mod. I never heard a taz6 in action. I cant think that it can be that different then a 5. Theres many different ways to silence a 5 even the psu. I'd be curious to hear a larger part printing faster. If I ran mine that slow I doubt it would make any noise. I've found larger fans and dampeners m...

Re: choices for other heated bed

(piercet) has a working aluminum plate on his printer. I tried to replicate his system but havent been able to locate a 3/16 FLAT plate. Tried 2 sources both were bowed so I've given up. The setup I wanted was the aluminum plate with a flex plate like the buildtak system. I'm usually in a rush thoug...

Re: Upgrading my TAZ 5

I've added rgb lights!!!. I did it for a reason other than looking cool. I had no way besides the amperage notification that I set up to know if one is off. This is an easy visual to know if there running. If the fan isnt running or the voltage is low they will turn off. They seem pretty close to th...

Re: Upgrading my TAZ 5

More pictures at least I can see my desk again. Still a bit more wiring to tidy. I also added new IP cameras. My $15 ones weren't cutting it with the fps. Overall I'm happy with my city looking printer. 20180915_130708.jpg 20180915_140637.jpg 20180915_141234.jpg 20180915_141524.jpg 20180915_141545.j...

Re: X axis calibration

Ok I had some time I found this. It said to adjust as neccessary I am guessing I'm adjusting the belt in the clamp? To get it straight.

X axis calibration

Can someone please point me in the correct direction to fix this issue see pictures. Its probably easy I just dont want to mess it up. The opposite side of the stepper. The belt isnt in the center I think this is what is causing vibration on very fast movement. Everything else is tight my Y axis nev...

Re: Upgrading my TAZ 5

Ok I installed my stepper dampeners. I'm willing to bet that I have one of the most silent running taz 5s. That is without a full enclosure. What a difference with the fans and those dampeners.

I cant wait to upgrade my machine to some openbuild rails.
