Re: Taz 1-6 Y motor upper bearing shaft protector anti break thingy of doom

If you're going to fit this without the damper to a TAZ6 you'll need a 6mm spacer and 4 M3x20 socket head screws.

Re: Taz 6 specific External Belt Tensioner

A slight remix (with Tim's cooperation). 1/4" 6-32 spacers don't seem that common on the eastern side of the pond so I remixed this for 6mm nylon spacers (zillions on EBay link to the ones I used at the bottom of this posting) with through bolts and nut traps instead of heat-inserts (heat inserts se...

Re: Ironing and surface scars

Thanks for the suggestion. The model was drawn in Fusion 360 so the original surfaces should all be square to the X/Y plane. I do see Fusion create some strange triangles when converting to STL: USBKEY.png which are definately there in the mesh as viewed in meshlab: USBKEY1.png However, the artifact...

Ironing and surface scars

I'm using cura-lulzbot 3.2.21 with my TAZ6 (Aerostruder if that makes any difference) and having real problems with ironing when the to-be-ironed surface is not the top layer. For example: USB.JPG The top part has a superb surface finish with ironing (it actually looks better in the flesh than in th...

Re: Cura LE v3.2.11, Alpha Testing Discussion Thread

Thanks for the push. Sadly, 3.2.18 with Marlin 1.1.8.29 still has the CRC errors and print pauses as previously reported. 2018-04-19 13:43:06,525 - INFO - [(139646582228480)-MainThread] USBPrinting.USBPrinterOutputDevice._log [53]: USBPrinterOutputDevice: Resending from: 192325 2018-04-19 13:43:06,5...

Re: Cura LE v3.2.11, Alpha Testing Discussion Thread

Silly but annoying issue (3.2.17 Debian).

Saving a project doesn't add the .3mf extension to the filename. This mean the file doesn't show up in Cura's file dialogue when trying to reopen the saved project.

Re: Cura LE v3.2.11, Alpha Testing Discussion Thread

From the comments elsewhere, it looks like 3.2.18 might have fixed this.

Can someone do the honours and push 3.2.18 to the repo?

Re: Cura LE v3.2.11, Alpha Testing Discussion Thread

Using TAZ6, Aerostruder Cura-LE 3.2.16 (is the thread title still valid? :-) on Debian I'm seeing the following errors pop up. Sometimes when this happens, the printer pauses for a second or two before continuing causing a scar on the print. FWIW, I don't remember seeing this in 3.2.11. 2018-04-07 1...
