Re: Capacitive Auto Bed Leveling

I think the wipe at the end of print is a great idea. The only time I have had a failed probe it was due to not removing the oozed NGEN filament at the end of the previous print. As long as I remove any ooze at the end of the print it has been perfect. I wonder if you could take the wipe sequence a...

Re: Lulzbot Aerostruder vs itworks E3d Aerostruder

I can't speak for the delta between the two extruders, but I can tell you that filament removal/switching is a real bear compared to the old Hexagon unit. Primarily due to the tight constraints of the feeder tube above the hobbed screw. when removing, it is best to extrude down a couple cm, then im...

Aerostruder make over.

So having swapped out the thermistor and renewed all the wiring up to the main umbilical connector I got fed up with up with this print head's thermal run out issues even having tried the silicone hot end cover and quickly decided its fate. Happened to notice that IT WORKS sells there own tool head...

Re: Service Bulletin: Thermistor Issue in Aerostruder and Dual Extruder v3 Tool Heads

Hi Brent The complete loom has been replaced from the new thermistor to the main tool head connector. I am beginning to suspect that the error occurs when the filament cooling fan kicks in or the tool head is not close to the bed. Just strikes me odd its only happened since the latest release of Cur...

Re: Service Bulletin: Thermistor Issue in Aerostruder and Dual Extruder v3 Tool Heads

Hi Brent many thanks for the reply as I mentioned I am running latest version of Cura LE 3 and as I had already swapped out all of the wiring and sensor with neat soldered joints at the loom connector and still having issue I could only guess that the issue I have is software / firmware related. I j...

Re: Service Bulletin: Thermistor Issue in Aerostruder and Dual Extruder v3 Tool Heads

Afternoon my Aerostruder fell into the serial number range denoted by sticker on back of tool head range. Unfortunately I wasn't in the position to be able to arrange return of the head so........ I have replaced the thermistor and the wiring all the way upto the main loom plug with soldered joints ...

Rock'in Moarstruder

Hi just wondered if anyone else had this issue ... The width of the tapered tongue of the moarstruder backplate is narrower than the width of the bolted on retainer on the carridge unlike the Aerostruder which is size for size. After christening the Moar print head with parts for a spool holder I fo...

Had myself over

Morning all, I have started using the Cura LulzBot Edition version 21.08 and updated firmware as per single extruder on my TAZ 6 for this version. I have recently purchased simplify 3d which has the Taz 6 profile I am curious to know when running g code created in Simplify moved to SD card and run f...
