Re: Einsy Retro on the Taz 6

I made my own mount that puts it in the control box. As for the wiring I made new pigtails that go from the duet wifi to the plugs on the back of the control box so that I could remove the stock control board with all it's wiring in tact. As for bed leveling I did a BL-Touch and did not try doing th...

Re: How to calibrate moto steps on Taz6?

If you are talking about the x, y and z steps / mm then I did mine a similar way you do the extruder. For the x I move it a little to the right of the left endstop and place a piece of tape on the top linear rod, then command the x to the right 100mm front the display and take a measurement. Follow ...

Re: Einsy Retro on the Taz 6

So I'm going to go a slightly different route. The Duet 2 Maestro was recommended to me. I ordered the Duest 2 WiFi and will be installing it in the next couple of weeks. I put a duet wifi in my Taz 6 and it's quite nice. Talk about quieting down the printer. I'm now in the process of doing linear ...

Re: Very bad results, extruder rubbing layer and more..

That sounds like over extrusion to me. Have you calibrated your esteps and then extrusion multiplier for the filament you are using? When I print hatchbox pla on my ender 3 I print at 215c temps and my extrusion multiplier is around .95 if I remember correctly but it will be different depending on n...

Re: TAZ 5 "Y" scaling issue

Have you checked the voltage output from the power supply? The bed is heavy to move and if the stepper is under powered it could cause an issue but I don't think it would be a repeatable issue like you are mentioning.

Re: Taz 6 Prints Rough Initial Layers But The Rest Are Perfect

I don't know if it works mid print or not but after you adjust it and press the knob you then go back a menu and I believe there is the save settings option and it will be saved. I can't check this since I no longer have the stock control board in my taz...I installed a duet wifi mainboard in mine a...

Re: TAZ 6 print size

The usable print dimensions I believe are 280mm x 280mm for length and width and 250mm for height so that would be 11.02" x 11.02" and 9.8" tall. That should be right on the website for the specs of the printer. You can change the orientation a part is being printed to make it fit the bed..like take...

Re: TAZ 5 "Y" scaling issue

The one thing I don't see mentioned is checking the steps for the axis. They can be set through the control on the taz. X and Y should have the same steps if I remember correctly and Z is much higher due to the drive rods. The steps on my Taz6 are X100.50 Y100.50 Z1600.00 and I would assume the Taz ...
