Re: Trouble Removing ABS Print

Thanks everyone- As a beginner and someone that does not have a group of 3D printing folks that I know, my learning curve has been a bit challenged at times and I stick real close to the Lulzbot guidelines, I really like the pick the filament and the rest is done for me including picking the speed o...

Re: Trouble Removing ABS Print

thanks, I will try that next time, but in my defense I did look at the Lulzbot Filament guidelines in several places and don't remember any mention of glue stick

Thanks much for the quick reply

Trouble Removing ABS Print

Printed a double size Roctopus with Chroma Strand ABS and had a very tough time removing the print. Yes I had let the print surface cool down to 50 C - used a flat stiff putty knife and small tapping hammer to lift the print. But was super tough to remove. Toward the end I turned the machine all the...

Re: Vase Mode??

Thanks - I will give it a try when I change filaments back

Is there any downside to leaving spiral on all the time? Or should I go back to the standard profile?

thanks

Vase Mode??

I tried to print the below vase (link at the bottom), I came back a few hours later and no center of the base - just a solid glob an inch high pile of filament with no center - this has happened before - the instructions on the fine print on the page - say something about vase mode - printing a soli...

Re: Moving from PLA to ColorFabb_HT and back

Thanks for the help I did see some instructions for Col Pull and they made me a bit nervous, Somewhere a person said they pushed the filament through with a pointy thing, then once the old fiber is down a bit they put the new fiber in behind the old fiber and just extrude away I did go out and get a...

Moving from PLA to ColorFabb_HT and back

the filaments have a suggested print temperature that seem to me to be far apart and different temps -can I move directly to / from one to the other - different temperatures by a lot?? I do have some cleaning filament if that helps - but directly from on to the other might be quicker/easier - but I ...

Re: Filament goes wild on reel with long prints - Mini 2

Yes it is Verbatim Filament

Yesterday the spool got so messed up that part of it wound back on itself 180 degrees and really messed things up - took me 20 minutes to straighten out the coil and rewind the messed up part

Re: Filament goes wild on reel with long prints - Mini 2

interesting thought - will check for the twist

Seems to be that the filament being quite springy it seems to loosen up on the reel during a long print - seemed to get a bit better when the spool gets a bit down - the sides of the spool act a bit as side guides

Thanks
