Re: LulzBot 3D Scanner

Tried to install on Linux today and when I ran Horus, it said I must have picked the wrong camera ID. I followed the guide on the BQ..com site but I think it is missing a link or pointer to Webcam software to use for the scanner software. If I disconnect the camera it says I need to connect the cam...

>releasing designs under a free software licence, designed using software that is not free software I will never understand this. You seem awfully critical of Aleph Objects. Keep in mind that every design has compromises, even yours. Manufacturers compromise between price, source-ability, performanc...

Re: Lancewood

I keep trying to get someone to attach quadcopter motors to a 3d printer and make one that would follow a person around the office printing things, but so far everyone says thats a crazy idea for some reason. Probably the short power cord and 3 foot flight radius. For some reason I thought of this:

Re: Crowd funding? Use CrowdSupply!

Basically crowdfunding new hardware design capacity to speed up new projects rather than as a source of income. I dunno, maybe its a very fine line distinction. Yeah, I guess you don't get to choose what you work on when you are employed by someone else, whereas when It's a hobby, you call all the ...

Re: Crowd funding? Use CrowdSupply!

So far they haven't got back to me. It is kind of a weird one. Bummer. Do they have to? It's not just a webform type thing to get a product on their page? Maybe you need a certain je ne sais quoi to make the cut. I'm not trying to sell a product. I'm trying to give away a product but get other peop...
