TAZ 4 in Cura 3.2.32

I wanted to try out Cura after using Simplify 3D for so long, so I downloaded the latest Lulzbot version but noticed there is no TAZ 4 listed.

Now, my TAZ 4 has a E3D hotend as well.

Any hep setting up Cura properly?

Keep in mind while not a 100% noob with Cura I am a 90% noob at Cura.

Thanks

Belt driven Z axis as an improvement?

Just reading the list of new and improved features of the new Lulzbot Mini 2 and noticed they say that a belt driven Z axis is better?? I thought that the Acme rods are the most reliable and give the most accurate movement especially over belts. I know they are slower than belt but I really don't th...

Re: Taz 6: Glass bed break??

Yup, not a great idea printing on bare glass. On my first printer (before there were so many great bed materials like PEI) I lightly sandblasted a bed and it seemed to work great until about my 10th print and the it did exactly what yours did, took a chunk out of the bed. Mine the glass was stuck so...

Re: Is Lulzbot PEI sheet better than generic?

What I used the last 3 times was .125" and I think it's too thick, still get the occasional bubble but the big thing is that the thickness is not consistent. I am hoping that a thinner piece will have less variance in thickness.

Is Lulzbot PEI sheet better than generic?

So am looking at replacing my PEI and the place I use to buy large sheets from no longer carries it. So I noticed that for my TAZ 4 Lulzbot gets $45 and I can buy a generic (made in USA) sheet with adhesive (though not already attached) for about $21, that's less than half the price. So, is the one ...

Re: Severe Warping Printing Spare parts using Chroma Strand ABS

For ABS an enclosure is pretty much a must almost always. You might get away with some small quick printing parts without it on a hot day but otherwise it's needed. Your not just keeping a draft out but you are creating a heated chamber that heats the air inside from the bed and hotend. It is import...

Re: How much bearing play is normal?

I think he's referring to the bearings being loose on the rods. In my case I ended up going to a bearing from PBC linear that fit the smooth rod to a point that I took the rod out and set it vertical and slid the bearing over it and let go and it was about 2 full seconds for it to slide down the rod...

Re: Taz 6 X-Y calibration difficulty

I don't have a machine with auto level but changing the steps it does make sense it would miss the washer as every step is smaller. I think you might check the belt tightness between the machines, if the belt is loose it's possible it could overshoot a little on each direction and that may be the di...
