Re: Should I get Simplify 3D??

I bought S3d and hated it. It just didn't work as well for me as good old Slic3r. It is actually what I consider one of the most wasteful purchases I have ever made.

Re: Can't connect

Were you doing anything inside the electronics box before this? Is it possible you blew one of the tiny fuses on the Rambo?

Re: ABS printing weird

+1 on getting the electronics away from the working heat of the unit. If you make your enclosure butt up against the electronics enclosure and allow it to draw in and expel air outside the enclosure.

Re: prints don't have a smooth top layer

I have had luck making the top layer wider. IIRC on a .50 ABS profile I made the top layer width about 25% greater than default with decent results.

Re: ninjaflex bed sticking?

A couple of layers of Aquanet hairspray works well. Make sure it dries completely before printing.

Re: Glass bed delamination and glass replacement

Nah, I'm on the southern coast, it's around freezing at night, not much colder. I just threw it in my chest freezer, it stays around -5f

Re: Glass bed delamination and glass replacement

I froze mine down to below 0f and the pad came off rather easily with all the glue remaining on the glass. I checked the heater with an ohmmeter before and after removal and the resistance stayed the same so I think I'm good.
