Re: Heat set inserts...

Thanks aadamson!

Will the soldering iron tips work in a Hakko FX-888 iron, or do you need to buy their iron?

Are the insertion tips threaded?

tnx!

Re: Heat set inserts...

It's not really helpful. There's nothing that specifies WHICH parts are used in the TAZ and the only apparent vendor has a $125 min. order.

Where does Lulzbot get their inserts and what kind are they?

There was also no mention of how they're actually inserted.

Re: Budaschnozzle 2.0 PLA Fix

When I cleaned mine off, I brought it up to temperature and used a cotton swab to grab all the plastic out of the threads. It worked very well.

The teflon tape on the nozzle works great - zero leaks in about 10 hours of printing so far.

Re: Auto bed probing and compensation with G29 Development

I would LOVE to get my hands on this! Any plans for making a version that will work with folks only using a single extruder?

Awesome job!

Re: Extruder Leaked

I've found a Q-Tip is a good tool for removing leaks from the middle threads and the top of the heater block.

Re: Budaschnozzle 2.0 PLA Fix

I carefully grip the heater block with a pair of channel-lock pliers before I try to remove the nozzle and I haven't noticed any difficulty. I've finally gotten all my "derps" fixed with my TAZ and I'm going to be running it hard for the next few days. I'll let you know how the ptfe at the nozzle wo...
