Re: Budaschnozzle 2.0 PLA Fix

Why does using PTFE tape on the nozzle threads make it permanent? I ask because I JUST did that last night - the PFTE tape has no adhesive on it, so I'm not sure what makes it permanent.

tnx!

Re: PLA Filament Extrusion Problem

My suggestion would be to move the Z axis to about 50mm above the bed and then try free extruding @ 200mm/min. The LB Transparent Blue PLA I have flows very nicely at about 185-190. Once you can free extrude 100mm or so without it slowing down, try printing on a cold bed. You might want to clean it ...

Re: New TAZ

You're gonna love it. Excellent machine. A tiny amount of growing pains, but nothing approaching the level of "show stopper". Worst I have is a lose pulley and a leaky hot end. :)

I've done a couple of "startup" videos that you can see here:

Re: Setup and use.

1013, that really doesn't work (at least with my TAZ it didn't). As-shipped, the zero point appears to be precisely on the corner of the glass. The only way to keep the hot end from striking the clamp is to either move the whole Y axis a bit as I suggested, or remove the clip. There's no position wh...

Re: Setup and use.

smswedenburg, I'd recommend loosening the y axis mounts and sliding the whole thing towards you about 10-20mm. This will prevent the nozzle from striking the bed clip when at zero.
