Re: Major PLA curling issues

Well looking at your picture your Z-offset needs a little adjustment, but if you have been printing CopPoly(NGEN) filaments there is probably a little still left on the bed. PLA does not stick well to it, so you will need to wet sand it lightly with around 2000 grit paper. The wet sanding helps to g...

Re: Taz 6 Aerostruder Z Axis Won't Home

Sounds like you have a broken/cracked/loose wire on the Z sense lines. Which is triggering? Then trace that set of wires.

I mentioned it more for in case the cable falls off while changing out the LCD board.

Re: SD Card Slot Loose

I think the 1.3 RAMBo has different pins/connectors for the LCD, one is a 2x4 and the other is a 2x10 connector with a different LCD cable. http://devel.lulzbot.com/TAZ/Olive/production_docs/OHAI/03_ControlBoxWiring-OHAI-T6.pdf Page 8 shows the older pin out and where pin one of the cables plug on.

Re: Live Z Adjust

The old control box does not have enough pins/wires to run all the additional lines you need. The board can do it but you would have to run the extras through a hole drilled/cut in the case.

Re: Live Z Adjust

That is a Mini and Taz 6 function that is not in the Taz 4/5 firmware. They are manual height adjusted printers with the Thumb screw on the left side of the printer. Along with manually leveled heat bed adjustment.

Re: TAZ 3 with TAZ 5 Extruder

If you could post a picture of the rod connected to the top of a Z motor would help.

Re: Expanding Taz 4, need a little info

So, ALL my original questions still remain. #1 Not really, but you need to supply more than that at the max voltage the board can handle. #2a No. #2b Yes but it probably requires a external hardware relay and possibly firmware changes to change control response times. The bed F.E.T. on the board ca...

Re: Expanding Taz 4, need a little info

It pulls more like 14 Amps, as it is a PWM output that pulses averaging 10A on the probable RMS meter.

360 Watt bed on 24 volts equals ~15 Amps a reason it has a slower blow Auto fuse. That helps it dissipate the surge heat created and not blow fast, but will possibly blow over time/use.
