Re: Taz 6 - Wavy lines on first layer

Looks like you're printing in the air.

Re: Taz 5 problem

It draws more power when homing as it does fast moves during the homing operation, but not while doing manual moves. That is why binding is seen more during homing operations than manual moves.

Re: Taz 5 problem

Power supply?

The LCD sounds like a supply re-start condition.

Re: Taz 6 bed not heating

The 24 volt rail/source is common to all three 24 volts supplied to the printer. So if the supply did not work on one it would not work for all. More likely a wire from the supply to the connector of the terminal block connector on the control board.

Re: Issues as of late with my mini and aero need some help

Well looking at your pictures it looks like the problem appears after the print gets off the bed a little. So I would look at the control board for heating issues since it seems to affect both X and Y directions. It might be the Z axis is not advancing correctly and over extruding on those layers. Y...

HA! That's a lot better than some I have seen. That should be pretty easy to clean up with a heat gun after you get the shrouds and such off.

Re: Extruder Head encased itself in ABS overnight!

I am not sure you will be able to get it off the weave on the thermistor leads. The heat cartridge/sense wire are Teflon coated wires so that is possible to clear with a heat gun and care. But you should be able to at least clear the screw heads.

That does not match the OHAI guide for the extruder.

Re: TAZ 7 upper build question

I think the Z idler bolts in the hole from the Z Top plate. (S.W.A.G.)Think it is belt tension adjustment. Might be why the Z upper is metal.

Re: Humidity to low?

Unless you are heating the filament to drive the water already in the filament out it will really not lose its moisture, but the drier air will help it from picking up more water.
