Re: Taz 5 PEI Plate Bubbling?

Suntorn I did not get the 1/8 thick stuff but thinner and the 3M adhesive tape/sheet ( Amazon.com ) and put it on my MakerGear M2 bed 3 months ago.... not a problem so far. I print PETG at 245/85 and just let the bed cool down to below 50C and the project comes off with very little effort. BUT my p...

Re: Taz 5 PEI Plate Bubbling?

The bed of my taz 5 has began to form bubbles or "air pockets" all over he bed. these pockets are effecting the part adhesion to the bed drastically and causing the prints to detatch from hte bed. has anybody else experienced this? what should i do? I used to experience bubbles like that when I fir...

Printing taz parts with pet, nylon, amphora etc.

So I have been trying to print a flexystruder for my taz 4 for a while and I keep running into issues. 1) which material to use 2) best settings to use 3) shrinkage/warping/infill What materials will work, and moreso, what materials would be better or worse? Anything that prints at ABS temperatures ...

Re: Budaschnozzle 2.0 PLA Fix

Printing with abs first then you will not have this problem with pla, promise. If you read closely, you would have noted that I did print ABS first, a few prints, which did come out nice. First PLA print after those was created a total mess. Lulzbot was great and taking the head back and shipping a...

mhackney wrote:Yes, but that would not be a turnkey solution that the noobies need. Cutting PEI is a bit of a challenge without the right tools.
I just used a utility knife and a square. Score it along the line, front and back, then snap in two.

Re: PEI bed surface

(printnz is a waste of money). If you dont use PEI you are thick headed and waisting money and time. Imagion I have to disagree. I attempted to use PEI last December (BuildTak). Bubbles and inability to consistently tune that elusive first layer height causing either objects to stick or come off. I...

Re: Can the Flexystruder print other materials?

So basically what I really want to know is what is the difference in quality with flexystruder vs. Regular. I print with e3d all metal hot end, and I print with alot of alloy 910 and other taulman products like pet, amphora, and tpe. Has anyone tested the difference in quality from flexy to reg for ...

Re: PEI bed surface

Oh and just to answer a few of those questions about nylon on PEI, yes, yes and yes it works great! Just apply pva glue stick. Here are herring bone gears I printed with taulman bridge.

Re: PEI bed surface

Just to save everyone alot of time and trouble. About 6 months ago I was trying every print surface/solution known to the print community, when I came across the idea of PEI, after wasting $100's, (printnz is a waste of money). I went to amazon to purchase a sheet of PEI and they were sold out of th...

Re: Budaschnozzle 2.0 PLA Fix

Printing with abs first then you will not have this problem with pla, promise. I had the same problem, cuz I started with pla, cuz I thought it would be easier, and I had the same problem of leaking pla on top of heater block, I ran abs through a couple prints and never had the problem again!
