Re: Taz 4.1 Ground issues?

Ok, I seem to have a solution to my issue. Here is what I did: I attached a 22 gauge wire to the screw that holds the faceplate onto the outlet my Taz is plugged in to (I used an eyelet for good contact). I wrapped this wire loosely around the power cord, over the supply and then loosely around the ...

Re: Taz 4.1 Ground issues?

Good point. We should be able to ground that reasonably well I think. I'll wire it up and post photos when I get back home later this week.

Re: Taz 4.1 Ground issues?

Thanks guys. Ground plug adapter is a great idea. I know what you mean about trusting house wiring. I've checked all my outlets after the house was built and at least 10 of them were wired reversed and a few had bad grounds. So I finished the large print finally but I literally did not get closer th...

Re: Taz 4.1 Ground issues?

Dredging this up... I have a KITTAZ (TAZ 4) that has been having problems no that winter and dry air is upon me here in New England. If I walk across my office (Berber carpet) and touch the Taz, I get a static zap and the RAMBo resets itself. Of course the print stops. If I discharge myself first, t...

Re: Duet & Duex4 - For/Against?

I totally agree. I bought all of my other Duets from them and they are top notch. They are the supplier to Filastruder too I am pretty sure.

Re: Duet & Duex4 - For/Against?

Just FYI, Filastruder is now carrying Duet and PanelDue - both for quite good prices compared to the UK source + shipping.

Re: A second printer..

@mirage335: are you running your Taz with a Duet? I've migrated 5 of my delta printers to Duet and love love love it. I left one on Smoothie just to keep current with new Smoothie developments but I rarely run that printer since Duet is so much easier/less friction for me. I am seriously considering...

Re: How is everyone doing with their Ciclop?

With organically shaped objects. If you have an object that is simple 2-1/2D then measurement and redrawing is going to be much more accurate and faster.

Re: First dual extrusion print from a Cyclops hot end and BondTech QR extruders

Hmm. I am using the stock heater. I do have a sheet of PEI. I did not retune it but the bed seems stable enough.

Re: First dual extrusion print from a Cyclops hot end and BondTech QR extruders

Great. I can't imagine the QRs jamming! I've had more success with these extruders (now on 4 of my printers and working to print mounts for the remaining 2) than any other. Not a single jam or even close yet. And the Cyclops is a difficult hot end to push filament through.
