Re: New TAZ 5 Adhesion Issue

Like everyone else has said, brim is your friend. I don't even try to do long prints without a brim. On general if it's over an hour long print, I use a brim. I have had my printer for a little over 2 months now and I have only printed with the lulzbot brand hips (esun). I keep the bed temp at 110 b...

Re: Trouble all of a sudden

Glad everything worked out well for you and you are back up and running good. The best thing about these printers is they make beautiful prints when they are working well. The worst thing is the downtime you sometimes get if something goes awry. Had my nozzle jam again this weekend and couldn't prin...

Re: ABS Part Lifting/Warping off bed of TAZ5

It happens to me all the time with hips. The front two corners seem to curl up off of the bed plate. I think this is caused by the back and forth movement of the y axis. This creates sort of a draft that gets under the part. I think the only real way to combat this is to build an enclosure. I've tri...

I had a piece of hips do that to me yesterday. I took the extruder apart today and grabbed it from the bottom with the needle nose.

Re: Finding the best Z-stop on a TAZ 5

Hello, and welcome. First of all I am new also. I have had my printer for just over a month. But I have done extensive reading here on this forum and others. I have also done a lot of practicing and have been getting progressively better. So let me help you with what I have learned so far. First fro...

Cura 15.02

Is this ready for the Taz 5. Or do we have to wait for a specific Lulzbot version? Just wondering because I haven't seen any mention of it.

Re: Quick Print Settings in Cura

I believe the quick print settings are the exact same settings that are posted for download under the cura profiles on the Lulzbot site.

Re: TAZ 5 and 1.75mm Filament

The only upgrades from taz 4 to 5 were the hexagon hotend and the pei bedsheet. Everything else is the same. If you get those two upgrades, you'll basically have a taz 5.

Re: TAZ 5 Fan Wiring

I must have been very lucky as well. I didn't notice the colored dot on the fan plug and the other molex connector until I had to take my extruder apart after a jam. The funny thing is i noticed it almost right away when I was reconnecting the wires. If they are going to continue to use the hexagon ...

Re: Hexagon nozzle and volcano

Hey Matt, I ordered a smaller nozzle from makerfarm. The only larger size I remember seeing was a .4mm. But I wasn't looking for larger I was looking for a direct replacement. One thing I will say if you do order from them, do not pay for the two day shipping. I payed an extra $8 for 2 day shipping ...
