Re: Trouble all of a sudden

Hi Muggs, I am new to this whole 3d printing thing in general and I have only had my Taz5 for 3 weeks now. I have experienced something similar to what you are experiencing and I did find a solution to my problem. I don't know if it will help you out or not but I thought I would at least try. The fi...

Re: Taz 5 Hotend problem, please help

Well, I have fixed my original problem of the filament curling up on me. I originally soaked the nozzle in acetone for a week and had no luck with that. I finally took the nozzle off Friday night and took a heat gun to it. Then afterwards I soaked it in acetone again. That seems to have gotten rid o...

Re: TAZ5 lead screw nut

The one for the Taz 4 should work. As far as I know the pei bed and the all metal hotend were the only changes from 4 to 5. I may be wrong. Someone else will chime in if I am.

Re: Taz 5 Hotend problem, please help

I attempted to do several cold pulls before I took the nozzle off. I don't know if it's because I'm using hips or if my technique wasn't right but I couldn't get it to work. I have had the nozzle soaking in acetone for three days now and have been cleaning it each day. If I can not get it cleaned pr...

Taz 5 Hotend problem, please help

I am having another problem with my Taz 5. I have had it for two weeks as of yesterday. I printed out a large herring bone gear and that print went well. Yesterday when I got I home from work, I figured that I would print out the small one and see how that went. Well the printer started acting like ...

Re: New Taz 5 owner needs help

Thanks for all of the help and suggestions guys. I ended up releveling the bed and raising the height of the extruder nozzle a bit. This has seemed to fix my problems and I have been getting much better prints. I even went back and printed out the roctopus at .075 layer height and it came out very s...

New Taz 5 owner needs help

Hello all. I am completely new to my Taz and also completely new to 3d printing. I did a little research and decided on buying a Taz over an ultimaker 2 basically because of the build volume and quality. I think that once I get the hang of making good prints the larger build volume on the Taz will b...
