Re: Convert Flexi-Dualie to standard Dual Head?

There are 4 standard dual extruders in stock at Amazon. There was 5 a little while ago ;-)

Anyway my flexi has .5mm nozzles for both.

My extruder mount is rocking!

And not in a good way. It has a fair amount of play between the bearings and the x axis rods. Is this normal? When I hold the extruder in my hand when facing the front of the printer I can rotate the extruder assembly right and left maybe 1 or 2 degrees. The play is coming from the bearings whose ID...

Re: Brand new Taz 5 user

IIRC, if you are printing from SD, you can disconnect USB but you can't plug it in. Yes sorry I noticed that. It's a little more complicated then I let on. It's certain events that cause the firmware restart, but they are not necessarily reversible. I had assumed that. I'd like to see that changed ...

Re: TAZ Heatbed: Use 85C not 110C

I also can't print with the bed at 85°C. I've been using 100 and 110. Even at 90°C I've had problems. And the print wasn't that big. Maybe 100x100. I'll be sticking to 110°C unless I start getting discoloration, but I rarely print in white. I don't even own any in 3mm yet. If you want to use 85°C be...

Talking about when cancelling from the controller manually. Firmware.

Re: Manual z-axis control

I would like to see Lulzbot alter the firmware so that if a print job is cancelled it automatically raises Z a few mm to get it off the plastic.

No, they're both .5mm nozzles.

Re: Brand new Taz 5 user

An odd quirk in the machine. The firmware restarts whenever it's connected to the pc and then disconnected. Also when the sd card is inserted. So if you are doing anything like heating the printer up or printing it will stop everything. I was printing from an SD card and I shut down pronterface (it ...

Re: Brand new Taz 5 user

I forgot to mention that my SD card was blank. No biggie I can download the files. Can you send your serial number to moe@alephobjects.com and mention the SD card was blank? The general rule is if the motors are too hot to the touch, they are too hot. I don't know the temp, offhand. When they get t...

Re: Brand new Taz 5 user

Love this printer. I really like the speed override during prints. I was printing something with 4800mm/m as the default speed, and outershells set to 40% of that and first layer and outerfill set to 60% Anyway after it was printing for awhile I started bumping up the speed with the dial on the cont...
